1.6M Worth Of Illegal Drugs Seized In Pasay City

National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS applauded the joint operation of Pasay City Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for the seizure of 1.6 million worth of illegal drugs and arrest of one (1) drug personality.

According to an initial report, upon coordination between personnel of PDEA and personnel of Sub-Station 5, Pasay City Police Station, operatives successfully arrested the suspect on July 13, 2020 at about 2:10pm in front of a Fast Food restaurant along Roxas Boulevard Service Road, Barangay 76 Zone 10, Pasay City.

Arrested suspect was identified as Davie Neil Costelo y Tinio also known as (a.k.a) “King.”

Further investigation disclosed that on the said date and time, an operative acted as poseur buyer that led to the arrest of Costelo and seizure of more or less 200 grams of suspected Methamphetamine hydrochloride or known as “shabu” with an estimated market value of P1,600,000.00.

Suspect is now detained at the Station Custodial Facility for documentation and proper disposition. Cases of violation of Section 5 (Sale, Disposition, Delivery) ART II of RA 9165 also known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002 is being readied for filing in court. Seized evidence was turned over to the Southern Police District Crime Laboratory for Chemical Analysis.

Moreover, seized items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Fiscal Ju-Haree Tolentino, Barangay Kagawad Rose Guamos of Barangay 76 Zone 10, Pasay City and Media Representative, Jimmy Mendoza.

PMGEN SINAS reiterated that the NCRPO has strengthened its and anti-illegal drug operations together with its counterparts regardless of the pandemic situation.

“Our campaign against all forms of criminality and illegal drugs is far from over. Rest assured that the NCRPO will not stop until the Metro will become a drug-free region,” he added.
