The National Capital Region Police Office Regional Director PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended Makati City Police Station, Southern Police District for another successful buy-bust operation conducted by the joint operatives of Makati City Police Station Drugs Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and Intelligence Section.
Suspect was identified as John Edward Sayson y Fernandez , 25, single, family driver and mechanic, is also listed in the Makati City Police Station Drug Watch list.
Investigation disclosed that the SDEU and Intel operatives launched a buy bust operation at about 6:40PM of August 5, 2020 at No. 2617 Rockefeller, Brgy. San Isidro, Makati City wherein the suspect was arrested after one of the operatives who posted as poseur buyer was able to purchase One (1) piece of transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth Php50, 000.00.
Also recovered from Sayson were: Seven (7) pieces medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (subject of possession); Two (2) pieces genuine 1000-peso bills and forty-eight (48) pieces 1000-peso bills boodle money used as buy bust money and One (1) unit weighing scale.
Seized items believed to be shabu weighing more or less 375.38 grams with DDB value of Php2, 552,584.00 were turned over to SPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
A case of Violation of Sections 5(selling) and 11(possession) of Article II of RA 9165 is being prepared for filing against the arrested suspect while he is temporarily detained at the Makati City Custodial Facility.
PMGEN SINAS assured the public that the Team-NCRPO is committed with its thrust to continue the fight against illegal drugs. He also appealed for the continuous support and cooperation of the general public by immediately reporting to the police any information about illegal activities so that appropriate and prompt police actions will be conducted. “Magtulungan po tayong sugpuin ang iligal na droga lalo na ngayon na tayo ay nasa gitna ng matinding pagsubok na dala ng pandemya,” he appealed.
