In the continuous fight against illegal drugs in Metro Manila, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commends Talipapa Police Station 3, Quezon City Police District and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for the successful joint buy bust operation resulting in the arrest of two (2) male drug suspects.
Suspects Tristan Jay Howard and Marcelino V Avenido III were arrested at about 7:00 PM of August 31, 2020 at Unit 3230 Congressional Town Center, Brgy Bahay Toro, QC.
The operation was conducted after a series of surveillance, casing and monitoring of the whereabouts and scheme of the suspects were validated, afterwards, a buy bust operation was plotted.
Records show that elements of PS-3 and PDEA RONCR-SDO conducted a joint buy- bust operation wherein one operative acted as poseur buyer. Upon consummation of the transaction, the suspects were arrested and seized from their possession and control the following evidences to wit:
1. 115 pcs of suspected ecstacy contained in several zip lock transparent plastic sachets with DDB value of more or less Php 195,500;
2. Transparent plastic sachets containing suspected dangerous drugs;
3. Transparent plastic sachet containing suspected marijuana;
4. Various drug paraphernalia;
5. Transparent plastic sachet containing empty capsules; and
6. Various manufacturing materials for ecstacy
Moreover, during the arrest, suspects were informed of their Constitutional Rights in a language they understood. The markings of confiscated evidence was conducted at the site right after the arrest.
The seized pieces of evidence was photographed, marked and inventoried in the presence of elected Brgy. Official, Kagawad Domingo Yang of Barangay Bahay Toro, QC and a Media Representative, Mr Alex Mendoza.
Criminal complaints for violation of Sections 5(Selling of dangerous drugs) and 11 (Possession of dangerous drugs) under Article II, R.A. 9165 will be referred to PDEA together with and all the evidence seized.
“Our effective strategy to combat illegal drugs in the Metro persists. We will continuously apprehend sellers and sources to totally eradicate drugs in our region,” said PMGEN SINAS.
