Shabu And Illegal Firearm Confiscated In QC, Top 7 Drug Personality & Cohort Nailed

The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the operatives of PS – 6 Batasan Police Station, Quezon City Police District for a successful buy-bust operation which resulted in the apprehension of Top 7 Drug Personality and cohort for possession of illegal drugs and firearm along Diamond Hills Street, Brgy. Payatas, Quezon City at around 5:30 PM of August 14, 2020.

The operation stemmed from the information provided by the QCDIT – RIU NCR regarding the illegal drug activities of the suspects. It was further validated by series of Intelligence gathering and case build up. One of the operatives acted as a poseur buyer and after the deal was established, they pushed through with the operation in coordination with PDEA NCR.

Initial report showed that the suspects were identified as:

a) Jovi Dela Cruz y Ramirez, 29 y.o (DOB: December 7, 1990), Single, Jobless and a resident of no. 296 Molave St, Brgy. Payatas, QC.  (Top 7 Drug Personality) and

b) Joshua Mallari y Batas, 27 y.o (DOB: August 28, 1993), Single, Jobless and residing at 29 Shierra Madre St. Brgy. Payatas, QC

Seized from the suspects are the following pieces of evidence:

a) Eight (8) pcs small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu;

b) One (1) pc PHP 1000 peso bill; and

c) One (1) Caliber 38 Revolver without serial number with inserted Three (3) live ammunition.

The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Kagawad  Severino Bernardo of Brgy. Payatas and Mr. Christopher Yu of Tuklas News National.

The confiscated illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less Fifteen (15) grams with a DDB value amounting to PHP 102,000. It was turned-over to the PNP Crime Laboratory for confirmatory testing.

The arrested suspects are detained at PS – 6 Batasan Police Station, QCPD for proper documentation pending the filing of appropriate charges in court for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165 or otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” and R.A. 10591 or “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act”.

Through the continuous effort of our operatives and unending support of the public, we will be successful in eliminating criminalities and illegal activities here in Metro.” PMGEN SINAS said.
