The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended PS – 10 Kamuning Drug Enforcement Unit, Quezon City Police District and QCDIT, RIU – NCR in coordination with DID-EPD, Pasig City Police Station and PDEA – NCR in a successful buy-bust operation along Pasig Blvd. near corner A. Mabini St., Brgy. Caniogan, Pasig City at around 5pm of September 3, 2020.

Initial investigation disclosed that the suspects were identified as:

A.) JORGIA ZARAGOZA y Serrano a.k.a “KUSHY”, 23 years old, single, criminology student, native of and resident of No. 15, F. Caruncho St., Brgy. Caniogan, Pasig City; and

B.) DARWIN CARPIO y Nagrampa, 21 years old, single, student, native of Mandaluyong City and resident of No. 443, Bliss St., Brgy. Caniogan, Pasig City.

The operation ensued after a regular confidential informant personally appeared in the station and reported about the illegal drug activities of a certain KUSHY particularly selling marijuana along the area of Brgy. Caniogan, Pasig City. The station commander immediately directed the team to coordinate with PDEA – NCR about the veracity of the received report and it was confirmed that KUSHY is included in the drugs watchlist.

Subsequently, this promted the operatives to arrange a buy-bust operation against the subject person. One of the operatives acted as a poseur buyer and established a deal with KUSHY. Upon arrival in the location, the poseur buyer was able meet KUSHY’s cohort and after a minute the subject person also arrived.

CARPIO, the subject person’s cohort handed two (2) bricks of suspected marijuana wrapped in a transparent plastic to the poseur buyer in exchange of PHP 45,000.00. After the transaction, the operatives pushed through with the pre-arranged buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest of the two suspects.

Seized from the suspects are the following pieces of evidence:

A.) Two (2) Bricks of suspected dried leaves marijuana wrapped in transparent plastic transparent and wrapped in a paper;

B.) One (1) piece of genuine one thousand peso bill incorporated with forty four  pieces of one thousand peso bill boodle money amounting to PHP 45,000.00;

C.) One (1) piece of paper bag;

D.) Two (2) units of android cellphone; and

E.)One (1) unit of Yamaha Mio

The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Brgy. Kagawad Jovito Anonuevo of Brgy. Caniogan, Pasig City and Media Representative Alex Mendoza of QCPD Press Corps.

The confiscated illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 1 and 1/2 kilograms grams with DDB value amounting to PHP 180,000.00.

The arrested suspects and recovered pieces of evidence were turned-over to Kamuning Police Station for proper documentation m pending the filing of appropriate charges before the court for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 Article II of R.A. 9165 or otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002”.

It only shows how determined they are to eliminate these forms of illegal activities. Their dedication manifests TEAM NCRPO’s commitment to continuously work hard for the betterment and safety of the public,” PMGEN SINAS said.
