PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauded the operatives of Caloocan Police Station for the successful arrest of a two male persons and recovery of evidence weighing more or less 500 grams with Standard Drug Price of Php 1,360,000 at about12:45 AM of July 9, 2020 at #11 Riverside, Phase 12, Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan City.
Suspects were identified as Kevin Bryant Sultan y Sibuco, pusher, male, 23 y/o (DOB: October 6, 1996/POB: Pangasinan), jobless, single, and presently residing at #11 Riverside, Phase 12, Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan City; and Michael Angelo Villa y Cos @Mike, Pusher, male, 28 y/o (DOB: June 29, 1992/POB: Manila), Helper, married, and presently residing at Lot 12, Block 56, Phase 12, Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan City.
Records show that the operation stemmed from a tip of a regular confidential informant regarding the illegal drug activities of the suspects. Casing and surveillance were conducted for 10 days resulting into positive validation, thus, an operation was hatched.
Thereafter, Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Caloocan City Police Station in coordination with PDEA-RONCR (Control # 10001-072020-0200) conducted buy bust operation against the suspects wherein a police officer acted as a poseur buyer. Police officer was able to avail one (1) piece of medium heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu in exchange for two (2) pcs. genuine one thousand peso bills bundled with forty eight pcs. one thousand bills boodle/fake currency used as buy-bust money. Upon consummation, back up operatives immediately effected the arrest.
Further probing reveals that Sultan and Villa are among the cohorts of the drug suspects arrested last June 12, 2020 wherein operatives were able to seize shabu worth 16 million pesos.
Seized from suspects were five (5) pcs of medium heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, one of which is the subject of sale, one (1) pc. black pouch, and the buy bust money.
The physical inventory of confiscated evidence was conducted at the place of arrest witnessed by Brgy. 188 Kagawad Marcelo Gorgonio and Media representative Mr. Renato R Pedroche of Latigo News TV.
Total confiscated drug evidence which weighs more or less two hundred (200) grams with DDB standard drug value of Php1,360,000.00 were brought to the NPD crime laboratory for confirmatory testing.
Suspects are now detained at the Custodial Facility of Caloocan City Police Station while charges for violation of Section 5 (Selling, Distribution and Transportation of Dangerous Drug) in relation to Section 26 (b) and Section 11 (Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drug) Article II of RA 9165 otherwise known as Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are being prepared for filing in court.
