1.7 MILLION PESOS WORTH OF SUSPECTED SHABU RECOVERED IN A BUY-BUST OPS IN QUIAPO

The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS applauds PS – 10 Kamuning, Quezon City Police District in coordination with Manila Police District and PDEA NCR for a successful buy-bust operation along Quiapo Foodbridge located at Quezon Blvd., Bgy. 394, Manila City at around 4:30 PM of September 20, 2020.

The arrest ensued after a regular confidential informant appeared personally in the station and reported about the illegal drug activities of a certain USOK particularly selling shabu in the area of Quezon City and Quiapo, Manila City.

Subsequently, the team coordinated with PDEA NCR about the veracity of the received report and it was confirmed that USOK is under watchlist which prompted the operatives to conduct a buy-bust operation against the suspect.

Likewise, PS – 10 coordinated with MPD about the operation. One of the operatives acted as a poseur buyer and was able to meet USOK. The suspect sold one (1) piece of large size transparent plastic sachet wrapped in a color brown masking tape containing undetermined amount of white crystalline substance suspected as shabu in exchange of buy-bust money.

After the transaction with USOK, the operatives immediately pushed through with the pre-arranged buy-bust which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.

Initial investigation disclosed that the suspect was identified as:

NORIST AMBAG y Kamild, a.k.a. USOK, 35 years old, single, native of Maguindanao and presently residing at No. 808, Arlegui St., Bgy. 383, Quiapo, Manila City.

Seized from the suspect are the following pieces of evidence:

a.) One (1) piece of large size transparent plastic sachet wrapped with color brown masking tape containing undetermined amount of white crystalline substance suspected shabu;

b.) One (1) piece of genuine one thousand peso bill incorporated with one hundred ninety nine pieces of one thousand peso bill boddle money, amounting to Php 200,000.00;

c.) One(1) unit of analogue cellphone; and

d.) One (1) piece of body bag color black.

The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Brgy. Kagawad Reden Alvin Ramos of Brgy. 394, Manila City and Media Representatives Mr. Alex Mendoza of Remate and QCPD Press Corps Pat Vanessa Meradios.

The confiscated illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 250 grams with DDB value amounting to PHP 1,700,000.00.

The arrested suspect and recovered pieces of evidence were brought to PS – 10 Kamuning for proper disposition pending the filing of appropriate charges for the violation of Sec. 5 qArticle II of R.A. 9165 otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002.”

“PS – 10 Kamuning shows true commitment and dedication as they tirelessly conduct series of buy-bust. In the last few months, we have recorded a lot of successful operations that was delivered by the operatives of Kamuning and they never fail to execute the plan as they have arrested every drug peddler intended for each operation,” PMGEN SINAS stated.
