The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended PS – 4 Novaliches Police Station, Quezon City Police District in close coordination with PDEA – NCR for a successful buy-bust operation at Tumina Cmpd., Brgy Sauyo, Novaliches, Quezon City at around 8:30 PM of August 31, 2020.
The operation stemmed from the information provided by QCDIT RIU – NCR about the illegal drug activities of the suspects and other cohorts in the area of Tondo, Manila and Sauyo, Quezon City. It was further validated through a series of Intel gathering and surveillance operation.
Subsequently, one of the operatives acted as poseur buyer, and after the deal was established, the operatives conducted a buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
Initial report showed that the arrested suspects were identified as:
a) Jonell Joshua Yumol y Neuda A.K.A. “Jonel” 27 years old, with live in partner, grab driver residing at 558 R Callejon-G Brgy 169 Tondo, Manila; and
b) Francis Elijah Tamayo y Guardados A.K.A. “Francis” 27 years old, married, messenger, residing at 1010 Tanay Street Sampaloc, Manila.
Seized from the suspects are the following pieces of evidence:
a) One (1) pc of brick suspected dried marijuana leaves packed in a transparent plastic inside Nike a box;
b) Three (3) pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves;
c) Twenty Three (23) pcs. of 1000 Peso Bill (boodle money);
d) One (1) pc of genuine (P500) peso bill;
e) Two (2) units of cellular phone;
f) Two (2) units of motorcycle (Yamaha Mio Sporty);
g.) One (1) pc of eco bag color blue; and
h.) One (1) pc of nike shoe box color red.
The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Kgwd. Gerry Vitug of Brgy. Sauyo, Novaliches, QC and Media Representative Mr. Leody Tobias of Radyo ng Masa.
The recovered illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 1 kilo with a DDB value amounting to PHP 120,000.00. It was turned-over to PNP Crime laboratory for confirmatory testing.
The arrested suspect was brought to Novaliches Police Station for proper disposition pending the filing of appropriate charges for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 Article II of R.A. 9165 or otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
“This is another successful operation by Novaliches Police Station. I commend their dedication to conduct buy-bust operations and arrest these drug peddlers. Sooner or later, because of TEAM NCRPO’s continuous campaign against illegal drugs, I am certain that we will be able to eliminate illegal drugs in the Metro.” PMGEN SINAS stated.
