The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended PS-10 Kamuning Police Station, Quezon City Police District in coordination with PS-6 Batasan Police Station and PDEA-NCR for a successful buy-bust operation which resulted in the apprehension of three (3) drug personalities along Ballerta Residence located at No. 514, Purok 12, Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City at around around 4:10 PM of August 26, 2020.

Further probing showed that the suspects were identified as:

A.) ARTURO ROSALES JR. y Edrolin, aka “Kabutenyo”, 24 years old, single, student, native of and presently residing at No. 13, Pitugo Extension, Brgy. Payatas, QC;

B.) JEFFERSON CONCORDIA y Credo, 24 years old, single, construction worker, native of and presently residing at Purok 12, Brgy. Commonwealth, QC; and

C.) JEROME BALLERTA y Acaba of legal age, helper, native of and presently residing at No. 514, Purok 12, Brgy. Commonwealth, QC (at large)

The operation stemmed after a regular confidential informant appeared in Kamuning Police Station and reported about the illegal drug activities of a certain a.k.a “KABUNTENYO”, particularly selling marijuana along the area of PS – 6 Batasan, QC. The operatives coordinated with PDEA – NCR to confirm the veracity of the report. Subsequently, and they found out that the subject person is DI Listed.

Upon confirmation, the operatives arranged a buy-bust operation against the subject person. A police poseur buyer established a deal with a.k.a “KABUTENYO”. He was able to meet the subject person along with his two cohorts. Then “KABUTENYO” handed one back pack containing two bricks of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana wrapped in a transparent plastic in exchange of PHP 50,000.00.

After the transaction, the operatives made the pre-arranged operation which resulted in the arrest of “KABUTENYO” and his cohorts.

Confiscated from the suspects are the following pieces of evidence:

A.) Two (2) bricks of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana wrapped in a clear plastic;

B.) Eight (8) stalks of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana wrapped in a clear plastic;

C.) Buy-bust money one (1) piece of genuine One Thousand Peso bill incorporated with Forty Nine (49) pieces of one thousand peso bill boodle money amounting to PHP 50,000.00;

D.) One (1) unit of Android cellphone;

E.) One (1) Backpack color brown; and

F.) One (1) Brown Carton Box

The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Brgy. Kagawad Elmer Buena of Brgy. Commonwealth, QC and Media Representative Alex Mendoza of QCPD Press Corps.

The recovered pieces of suspected marijuana has an aggregate weight of more or less 10 kilograms with DDB value amounting to PHP 1,200,000.00. It was turned-over to QCPD Crime Laboratory for Chemical Analysis.

The arrested suspects are in the custody of Kamuning Police Station for proper disposition pending the filing appropriate charges for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 Article II of R.A. 9265 or otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.

“Illegal drugs has been our problem ever since. But with the continuous effort and dedication of our operatives as well as the unending support of public in giving relevant information, we are tracking down every drug personality in Metro,” PMGEN SINAS said.
