PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS congratulated the joint personnel of Regional Intelligence Division, NCRPO, Pasig City Police Station, Eastern Police District, Special Operations Unit 4 and Philippine Drug Enforcement Group for the successful confiscation of 136 million pesos worth of suspected shabu at 290-3 Westbank road, Maybunga, Pasig City at about 7:19 pm of August 19 2020.
Arrested suspects were identified as:
- Joel Narido y Lumbre alias “NOEL”, male, single, 39 y/o a resident of 290-3 Westbank road Maybunga Pasig City,
- Maria Teresa Concil y Sapatero, female, 35 y/o and a resident of 1664 Onyx Street, San Andres Bukid, Manila
- Ronald Solomon, male, 41 y/o and a resident of 1664 Onyx Street San Andres Bukid, Manila
The report showed that a regular confidential informant provided a tip to the authorities on the illegal drug peddling activity of the suspects. Thereafter, month long of intelligence driven, monitoring and surveillance was conducted by the operatives to confirm the veracity of the report.
Investigation disclosed that upon confirmation, joint personnel from Special Operations Unit 4 PNP DEG, SOU 4 PNP DEG, RID NCRPO, DID and DEU EPD and PDEA NCR conducted an anti-illegal drug buy bust operation against the suspects wherein one poseur buyer transacted with them. After the drug deal, operatives immediately effected their arrest.
The arrest led to the confiscation of Twenty (20) vacuum sealed transparent plastic packs containing white crystalline substance inserted in a GUANYINWANG Chinese tea bag believed to be shabu with estimated weight of 20 kilos and DDB value of Php 136,000,000.00. Said pieces of evidence were brought to PDEA NCR office and will be subjected to chemical examination.
The arrested drug suspects are now under the custody of PDEG for proper filing of necessary charges for violation of Section5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“I would like to acknowledge this big accomplishment conducted by our joint operatives. Another big amount of shabu was busted in the drug market. Further investigation will be conducted to unmask the source/s of these huge amount of drugs,” said PMGEN SINAS.
