151 FOREIGN NATONALS ALLEGEDLY INVOLVED IN NON-REGISTERED OFFSHORE GAMING OPERATORS (NOGO), ARRESTED IN QUEZON CITY

The National Capital Region Police Office Regional Director PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the joint-operating team of National Capital Region Police Office-RSOG, Kamuning PS, QCPD and CIDG for the successful operation against violation of General Community Quarantine Rules in 32 Pineda Bldg, Scout Lascano, Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City on June 2, 2020 at about 08:30 PM.

The operation stemmed from a confidential informant regarding an alleged NOGO operation in the area. The police officers then conducted surveilance and monitoring to confirm the veracity of the report. After positive confirmation, an operation was plotted which resulted in the arrest of 151 foreign nationals, 133 male and 18 female persons.

Recovered from the suspects are the following items:

a. Two Thousand Twelve Pieces of assorted cellphones;
b. One hundred forty nine pices of computer monitors;
c. Ninety pieces of computer mouse;
d. Seventy-two pieces of computer keyboards;
e. Forty nine pieces of flash drives;
f. Thirty four pieces of CPUs;
g. Nineteen pieces of laptops;
h. Two pieces of printers;
i. One apple ipad;
j. Twenty extension wires;
k. Two PLDT wifi;
l. One PLDT phone;
m. Three boxes of assorted cable wires;
n. Two passports;
o. One bag of assorted IDs;
p. Fifteen uninterupted power supplies;
q. Onehundred sixteen foreign currencies;
r. Two hundred thirteen thousand eight hundred eighty pesos cash money in different denominations;
s. Ten router modems; and
t. One box of one time password.

The inventory of the seized items was witnessed by Hon. Jose Maria M. Rodriguez, the Barangay Chairman of Brgy. Laging Handa.

As per coordination with Barangay Chairman Rodriguez, the suspects did not secure business permit from their barangay. Further, request for verification of registration was already made with Business Permit and Licensing Department (BPLD) of Quezon City.

The arrested suspects and recovered pieces of evidence were brought to RSOG office in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City for documentation and appropriate disposition.

“Amid the implementation of the General Community Quarantine in the Metro, most establishments related to the delivery of basic services were permitted to operate. But it does not include the operation of such unregistered business. Let us all cooperate and work together to fight this unseen enemy,” said PMGEN SINAS.
