National Capital Region Police Office Regional Director, PDIR GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR administered the donning, pinning and oath taking of newly promoted NCRPO Headquarters personnel early this morning at NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City. A total of 180 NCRPO Headquarters personnel were promoted, 19 personnel to the rank of Police Superintendent; 19 to the rank of Police Chief Inspector, 1 personnel was promoted to the rank of Police Senior Inspector; 27 for Police Inspector; 16 personnel were promoted to the rank of Senior Police Officer IV, 33 to the rank of Senior Police Officer III, 32 personnel were promoted to the rank of Senior Police Officer II, and 33 personnel were promoted to the rank of Senior Police Officer I. PDIR ELEAZAR expressed his congratulations to the 1st set of the most inspired and most motivated group of promotees. There are still ceremonies to be conducted this week to complete the oathtaking of more than 13,000 promotees. He challenged them to win the hearts and minds of the people and be part of the work force of providing quality service to the people of Metro Manila. Further, he emphasized that Internal Cleansing Program is not just about getting rid of the misfits and scalawags. Rather, it is about creating a culture of pride in the uniform, self-respect and gaining respect from the community and a culture of efficiency and dedication to work. In the midst of cleansing the police ranks, these newly promoted police officers are expected to supervise and guard their fellow policemen. “Kung ano mang kultura na dinatnan na dapat baguhin o dapat ayusin, ito ang tamang pagkakataon at kayo the most highly motivated personnel of NCRPO, kayo ang dapat manguna, ang dapat magpakita ng tamang ehemplo upang isulong ang internal cleansing”, PDIR ELEAZAR emphasized to the promotees. He also conveyed his expectations from them to be of help to the NCRPO in achieving more success and accomplishments and gaining the full trust and confidence of the public on the police. “We are in the midst of placing the NCRPO ahead of the other regions in terms of our abilities to reduce crimes, increase crime solution and clearance efficiencies and the number of criminals arrested and put behind bars, decrease in the volume of drugs circulating in the streets of Metro Manila and increase the arrest of drug pushers and users and increase in the volume of drugs seized and destroyed. I challenge you to be part of this crusade to make the National Capital Region more secured, safer and more peaceful than in previous years”, ELEAZAR lamented in his concluding statement. PDIR Eleazar also took the opportunity to address significant number of family members of the promotees who witnessed the ceremony. He urged them to support their respective family members who are in the service, to continue to guide them and further encourage them to give their best in giving quality police service to the people. “Ang gusto natin ay taas noong masasabi ng ating mga anak sa kanilang mga kaeskwela, kaibigan, at sa buong bayan, Pulis ang Tatay ko/ Pulis ang Nanay ko”.
