The celebration of the PNP Ethics Day is being held annually to remind all PNP personnel the importance of good moral and ethics in doing its day-to-day obligation as a dignified public servant.

The celebration was coincided by the conferment of appropriate awards to deserving NCRPO personnel as a form of recognition for their exemplary deeds.

Embodying the overall substance of his message, Most Reverent OSCAR JAIME L FLORENCIO underscored a significant adage of a famous philosopher named Socrates that, “An unexamined life is not worth living,” by which he reminded the whole NCRPO force that being honest and honourable is beautifully expressed and enshrined in the Police Officer’s Pledge and the Badge of Honor.

“The good life is one in which we make both ourselves and those around us true to form, true to self, and the only way to pursue that life is to honesty; Maging tapat sa lahat ng bagay! Matapat na sa simula pa!” he said.

He supplemented: “As police officers your badge reminds you to maintain the dignity of your character at all times and to strenuously enforce by example, a steady obedience to the laws of the land; By the regularity of your conduct, always endeavour to avoid any aspersion against the institution; Never swerve from your solemn oath office; violate your vows; or betray the public trust.”###
