3.5 Million Worth Of Suspected Shabu Confiscated In Makati

The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the joint operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Makati City Police Station, Southern Police District for a successful buy-bust operation along Jollibee Parking Lot, A.P. Reyes Ave., Brgy. Tejeros, Makati City at around 3:30 PM of August 12, 2020.

The operation stemmed from the information of PDEA about the illegal drug activities of the suspects. PDEA along with the operatives of Makati CPS conducted a buy-buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest.

Initial investigation showed that the suspects were identified as Tristan Jay Ocfemia @Yeye and Oliver Rogelio Benitez y Capote.

Seized from the suspects are the following pieces of evidence:

a) One (1) piece white eco paper bad with print “Lacoste” containing five (5) pieces knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing white crystalline substance;

b) One (1) piece genuine five hundred (PHP 500.00) peso bill buy-bust money; and

c) Two (2) units of Mio Motorcycle

The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Kagawad Gregorio Ordas Jr and Mr Jimmy Mendoza of Sunshine Radio.

The confiscated suspected shabu has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 500 grams with estimated street value of 3.5 million pesos.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were turned-over to PDEA for documentation and proper disposition while appropriate charges for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 Article II of RA 9165 or otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002” is being prepared.

“I commend Makati City Police Station for a job well done! This is another big achievement for our operatives. Confiscating 3.5 million worth of shabu will greatly contribute in our campaign of eliminating illegal drugs in Metro,” PMGEN SINAS said.
