PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, Regional Director, National Capital Region Police Office lauded the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Novaliches Police Station, Quezon City Police District for the successful arrest of three suspects and seizure of more or less two kilograms of Marijuana at about 1:25AM on August 3, 2020.
Upon validation of the intelligence report and series of surveillance, a buy-bust operation was established. In coordination with the PDEA-QC, a joint buy-bust operation was conducted that ensued the arrest of the suspects in front of a gasoline station located along Quirino Highway, Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City.
Suspects were identified as:
a. Jeffrey Elustrisimo y Barcioles aka “Jeff” 22 years old, jobless, native of Manila Presently Residing at 129 Ibon Pilak st. Brgy Sta. Monica Novaliches Quezon City;
b. Deo Ellorquez y Briones aka “Deo”, 27 years old, single jobless native of Quezon City Presently Residing at 005 Pascual Compound Parang Marikina City.
c. Joshua Pre y Tilaon aka “Joshua”, 24 years old ,single, jobless native of Camiling Tarlac Presently Residing at Pugong Ginto St. Brgy Sta Monica Novaliches QC
Further investigation revealed that suspects were charged with violation of Sec. 11 and 13 of Art II of RA 9165 in 2016 and 2017 and were members of the 13 Hudas Drug and Robbery Hold-up Group operating in the area of Novaliches and other parts of Quezon City, Rizal and Cavite.
Pieces of evidence seized from the possession and control of the suspects were as follows:
- One (1) piece of Brick of Suspected Dried Marijuana leaves wrapped in a clear packaging tape and white paper with markings “DHEO CINDY”;
- One (1) piece Brick of Suspected Dried Marijuana leaves wrapped in a clear packaging tape and white paper;
- One (1) piece of genuine One Thousand Peso bill;
- Twenty Seven (27) pieces of One thousand peso bill boodle money;
- One (1) back pack color orange and gray;
- One (1) unit of Yamaha Mio Sporty;
- Two (2) pieces of cellular phone; and
- Two (2) pieces of paper bag color brown with 7/11 markings
The confiscated suspected dried Marijuana has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 2 kilograms with a DDB value amounting to Php 240, 000.00. It will be turned-over to the PNP Crime laboratory for confirmatory testing.
Arrested suspects are detained at Police Station 4, QCPD pending the filing of cases for Violation of Sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Confiscated pieces of evidence were marked and inventoried in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Val Casteltort of Gulod, Quezon City and Mr. Alex Mendoza of Hataw Dyaryo ng Bayan.
“The continuous accomplishments of our operatives is an indication of our intensified campaign against all forms of criminality as well as the arrest of drugs personalities and seizure of illegal drugs circulating in our region,” PMGEN SINAS said.
