PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended the joint operatives of District Drug Enforcement Unit and District Special Operations Unit of Northern Police District for the successful conduct of a follow-up buy-bust operation at about 12:20PM of August 8, 2020 along Sumulong Highway beside Fying V Gasoline Station, Antipolo City.
Suspects were identified as Joseph Becońa y Magkente, 24y/o, single, jobless, res at No. 283, Purok Maligaya 2, Mambungan, Antipolo City; and Idilio Saldaña y Rivera, 59 y/o, married, Production Supervisor, residing at No. 230, San Jose St., Antipolo City.
The operation stemmed from the previous Buy-bust operation of DDEU-NPD in the night of August 7, 2020 wherein a total of 1kg of High Grade Marijuana and 78 grams of Kush were confiscated and one (1) suspect was arrested.
Thereafter, through Intelligence driven and follow-up operation by operatives of DDEU-NPD, DSOU, in coordination with Antipolo Police and with the assistance of DMFB, NPD personnel, conducted a Buy-bust operation against the suspects. Upon consumation of the deal, operatives immediately effected their arrest.
Pieces of evidence seized from the possession and control of the suspects were:
a. Thirty-three (33) pcs. cling wrapped bricks containing Suspected dried Marijuana Leaves and Fruiting tops;
b. One (1) pc. genuine P1,000.00 bill with serial number CY020382 incorporated with Thirty-nine (39) pcs. P1,000.00 boodle money utilized as Buy-bust money;
c. One (1) Unit Cellular Phone color Metallic Gray;
d. One (1) small size Mercury Drugstore plastic;
e. One (1) Asics brand Backpack Bag;
f. One (1) small size Sacko bag; and
g. One (1) unit Honda Beat motorcycle color black without plate number.
Confiscated Marijuana leaves and fruiting tops weighs more or less 33 kilograms with Standard Drug Price amounting to P3,960,000.00 were submitted to Rizal PPO Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
The pieces of evidence seized were duly marked, inventoried and photographed at the place of arrest in the presence of Barangay Chairman Marlon B Zingapan, Brgy. Mambugan, Antipolo and Mr. alex Memdoza from Hataw Tabloid/QCPD Press Corps.
While the suspects were brought to DDEU-NPD office for documentation and will later be turned-over to Antipolo City Police Station Custodial Facility pending the filing of appropriate charges for violation of Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Sec. 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and Sec. 26 (Conspiracy) under Article ll of R.A. 9165 through follow-up operation.
