4 SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY HOLD-UP IN MANILA

The National Capital Region Police Office Chief PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the anti-ciminality effort of the Ermita Police Station which led to the successful arrest of suspects for Robbery Hold-Up, Physical Injury and Malicious Mischief at about 7:00 PM of June 14, 2020 along Mel Lopez Boulevard, (near red cross building), Port Area Manila.

According to the initial report, at about 7:00PM of June 14, 2020, the victims namely MANUEL SANTILLAN y ORTEGA, Male, 54 years old, married, Fish dealer and residing at No. 81, Malolos Avenue, Bagong Bario,Caloocan City and his son JEROME SANTILLAN y JANIOLA, male, 20 years old, single, student and residing at No 81, Malolos Avenue, Bagong Bario,Caloocan parked their vehicle along Mel Lopez Boulevard (near red cross building), Port Area, Manila to inquire for palo tsina woods.

Victim Jerome was left waiting in the vehicle while his father searched for stores selling the same. Moments later, one of the suspects approached him and asked for his money while another suspect was on the other side of the van armed with bladed weapon.

Thereafter, one of the suspects tried to steal the brand new digital weighing scale inside the van which the victim tried to protect leading the suspects to simultaneously beat him up.

The victim was able to escape and run but the suspects whipped the rear windshield of their van damaging the same.

Victim MANUEL hurriedly went back to their van upon receiving information that his son was being robbed but he was also confronted and mauled by the suspects who forcibly took his bag.

The victim then sought the assistance of the Barangay concerned who took them to Baseco PCP.

The police unit immediately conducted a follow-up operation against the suspects which led to the apprehension of the suspects who were identified as:

SUSPECTS:

Suspect 1- JESUS NACION y NONSOL, male, 28 years old, single and residing at 12″ Street, Brgy650, Zone 68, Distric V, Port Area, Manila;

Suspect 2- JASSON NACION y NONSOL, male, 20 years old, single and residing at 12″ Street, Brgy 650, Zone 68, Distric V, Port Area, Manila;

Suspect 3- JUANDREN NARVALTE y DALISAY, Male, 18 years old, single, student and residing at 12th Street, Brgy. 650, Zone 68, Distric V, Port Area, Manila;

Suspect 4- ARNIE NACION y ALBA, male, 25 years old, single, Kitchen staff and residing at 12″ Street, Brgy. 650, Zone 68, Distric V, Port Area, Manila; and

CICL 5- REYMART NARVALTE y DELAROSA, male, 17 years old, single, student residing at 12 Street, Brgy. 650, Zone 68, Distric V, Port Area, Manila.

The apprehended suspects were positively identified by the victims as the very same persons who mauled and robbed them earlier and also identified the recovered sling bag containing cash and cellular phone as the stolen item from them.

The suspects are presently detained at the police station while waiting to be subjected to Inquest Proceedings. They will be facing charges for the crime of Robbery Hold-Up, Physical Injury and Malicious Mischief.
