476K Worth Of Shabu Busted By Kamuning And Batasan Police

Police hailed the successful joint anti-illegal drugs operation of Kamuning Police Station 10, Batasan Police Station, Quezon City Police District and PDEA which resulted in the arrest of one (1) male drug suspect and seizure of PHP476,000.00 worth of shabu.

The arrested suspect was identified as Evan Villaruel y Castro, 33 years old, single, driver, native of Ilo-ilo and resident of No. 25, Malakas St., Brgy. Payatas, Quezon City. Villaruel is among those under drug watch-list.

According to initial investigation, the buy-bust operation was plotted after surveillance and confirmation of the information reported by a confidential informant regarding the illegal activities of the suspect.

On August 11, 2020 at about 11:15AM, one of the police officers acted as poseur-buyer and proceeded to Payatas Road near corner Dona Nicasia Subd., Brgy., Payatas, Quezon City. Upon completion of the transaction, police poseur-buyer gave the signal for the arrest of the suspect.

Recovered pieces of evidence in the possession and control of the suspect are:

1.Two (2) pieces of medium size transparent plastic containing undetermined amount of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu;

2.Two (2) pieces large size transparent plastic containing undetermined amount of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu;

3.Buy-bust money amounting to Twenty Thousand Five hundred Pesos: One (1) piece of genuine Five Hundred Pesos and Twenty (20) pieces of One Thousand Peso Bill as boodle money;

4.One (1) unit android of cellphone;

5. Recovered money amounting to Three Hundred Pesos (P300.00); and

6.One (1) black Wallet Pouch.

The recovered/seized suspected Shabu weighing more or less 70 grams with DDB value amounting to Php476,000.00 will be turned over to the Quezon City Police District- Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.

Meanwhile, the suspect is detained at PS-10 Kamuning custodial facility pending the filing of charges in violation of Art II Section 5 of RA 9165- Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The inventory and marking of seized pieces of evidence was witnessed by Barangay Kagawad Roberto Arca of Barangay Payatas, Quezon City and

Mr Alex Mendoza, representative from the QCPD Press Corps.
