The Quezon City Police District intensifies the war against illegal drugs through continuous successful buy bust operations. In line with this, Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Cubao Police Station conducted a buy bust operation on May 8, 2020 at about 8:00 pm in front of Coronet Bldg located along Aurora Blvd. near corner Cambridge St., Brgy. E. Rodriguez Cubao Quezon City resulting in the arrest of one male suspect. PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS identified the suspect as Jose John Mundo Colinares alias “C-John”, 23 yrs old, single, jobless and residing at Brgy. Saplad David, Macabebe, Pampanga. The arrest was made wherein an operative acted as a poseur buyer. Upon consummation of the illegal drug transaction, the poseur buyer gave the pre-arranged signal, immediately the team arrested the suspect. During the anti drug sting, operatives seized the following: a. One (1) transparent plastic (vacuum sized) containing undetermined amount of white crytalline substance suspected shabu; b. One (1) pc plastic color gold/yellow with chinese character; c. One (1) pc Starbucks paper bag color brown; d. One (1) Samsung cellphone color white; e. One (1) paper bag color green/yellow green label with “celebrate”; f. Ten (10) bundles consisting of fake Php. 1,000.00 bills combined with paper carton incorporated with one (1) piece genuine Php. 1,000.00 peso bill utilized as buy-bust money. Estimated total weight of shabu confiscated was more or less one (1) kilograms with street value amounting to Php. Six million eight hundred thousand pesos (Php. 6,800,000.00). Present during the inventory and marking of evidence were: Brgy. Chairman Marciano Buena-Agua Jr. of Brgy. E. Rodriguez, Cubao, QC and Mr. Alex Mendoza-Hataw Tabloid/QCPD from the Press Corps. The suspect is currently being investigated by PS-7 for filing of appropriate charges for violation of Article 5 of RA 9165 (Selling of Illegal Drugs). The Regional Director of NCRPO PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauded his men for their dedication to fight the proliferation of illegal drugs in Quezon City. ” With your commitment to service, I am sure that more operations will be hatched successfully,” he said. “With the current crisis we are facing, I am proud that the momentum in the war against drug did not stop but rather increased.
