PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commends the operatives of Drug Enforcement Unit of Caloocan City Police Station which led to the arrest of three (3) drug peddlers and seizure of shabu worth 6.8 million pesos.
Suspects were identified as SAMSODIN RASID y Ampao @Mateo, Pusher, male, 23 y/o, and presently residing at Unit 3-2-U3, Bldg. III-A, MRH-NHA, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City; JOHAIMA JAMAEL y Laguinda @Anok, Pusher, female, 29 y/o and presently residing at Unit 3-2-U3, Bldg. III-A, MRH-NHA, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City and MANUEL ABELLA y Duran @JR, male, Pusher, 25 y/o and presently residing at Bo. Sto Cristo, Brgy. 187, Tala, Caloocan City.
The operation stemmed from series of surveillance, monitoring and follow up operation until a buy bust operation was plotted.
Initial investigation disclosed that on July 11, 2020 at about 7:45 PM, operatives of Caloocan City Police Station in coordination with PDEA-RONCR conducted buy bust operation at unit 3-2-U3, Bldg. III-A, MRH-NHA, Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan City.
According to the reports, the poseur buyer was able to buy one (1) piece of large knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu in exchange for three (3) pieces genuine one thousand peso bill bundled with ninety seven pieces (97) of one thousand peso bill boodle/fake currency used as buy-bust money. Upon consumation of the drug deal, operatives immediately effected their arrest.
Seized from suspects’ possession and control were nine (9) pieces of large knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu placed in one (1) piece chinese tea bag, one (1) piece of large knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu which is the subject of sale, digital weighing scale, and the buy bust money.
The total confiscated drug evidence weighs more or less 1 Kilogram with DDB value of Php6,800,000.00.
The physical inventory of confiscated evidence was conducted at the place of arrest and witnessed by Brgy. 188 Kagawad Marcelo Gorgonio, Media representative Mr. Renato R Pedroche of Latigo News TV.
Recovered evidence were brought to NPD Crime Laborarory Office for further investigation and proper disposition.
Meanwhile, complaints for violation of section 5 in relation to section 26 (b) and section 11 Art. II of RA 9165 are being prepared for inquest proceeding against the arrested suspects who are currently under the custody of Caloocan City Police Station.
