600K Worth Of Shabu Seized In Rizal, Suspect Nabbed

The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commends the joint operatives of PS- 6 Batasan, Quezon City Police District and Rizal Municipal Police Station for a successful buy-bust operation along Lardizabal Road, Brgy. Mangahan, Rodriguez,Rizal at around 6:30 PM of August 5, 2020.

The operation stemmed through an information provided by the QCDIT Regional Intelligence Unit – NCR regarding the illegal drug activities of the suspect. It was further validated after a series of surveillance and monitoring. During the operation, the operatives acted as a poseur buyer and after consummation if the transaction, they immediately effected the arrest.

Suspect was identified as Keane Nathaniel Medyos y Navalta alias “Kean”, male, 24 yrs old, single, Jobless, native of Isabela and presently residing at Muños East, Roxas Isabela.

Confiscated from the suspect are the following pieces of evidence:

a)         Two (2) pcs medium heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu;

b)         One (1) pc PHP 1000 peso bill with serial number BS605637;

c)         Forty Nine (49) pieces PHP 1000.00 boodle money with same serial no. B456581

The confiscated illegal drugs has an estimated aggregate weight of more or less (90) grams with a DDB value amounting to PHP 612,000.00. It was turned-over to PNP Crime Laboratory for confirmatory testing.

The marking and inventory of the seized evidence was witnessed by Brgy. Kagawad. Gina DC Cristi of Mangahan, Rodriquez Rizal and Chris Yu of Kalasag News National.

The arrested suspect is detained at PS-6 Batasan, QCPD for proper disposition pending the filing of appropriate charges in the court for Violation of Sec. 5 and 11 of RA 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002”.

“We have been conducting series of buy-bust operations around the Metro and TEAM NCRPO has already arrested a lot of illegal drug peddlers, but we will not stop there. We assure the public that we will tirelessly conduct more operations to finally eliminate illegal drugs in the Metro and its neighboring areas,” PMGEN SINAS said.
