700K Worth Of Suspected Shabu Confiscated In A Buy-Bust Ops In Caloocan, Suspect Nailed

The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the operatives of District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) Northern Police District (NPD) for a successful buy-buy operation along Along Lualhati St., Phase 7A, Package 9, Brgy. 176, Brgy. Bagong Silang, Caloocan City at around 9:00 PM of August 3, 2020.

The operation emanated from an Intel driven operation. The operatives of DDEU NPD conducted a planned drug buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.

Initial investigation disclosed that the suspect was identified as Romel Balete y Esquivel, 41 y/o, married, jobless, residing at Blk 23, Lot 5, Phase 7A, Package 10, Brgy. 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.

Seized from the suspect are the following pieces of evidence:

a) Twenty one (21) pcs. medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu;

b) Two (2) pcs. genuine P1,000.00 with serial number EB391915 and Z228925 incorporated with twelve (12) pcs. P1, 000.00 boodle money utilized as Buy-bust money;

c) One (1) Unit Huawei Cellular Phone Color Black;

d) Two (2) pcs. Notebook with drug transaction Color Black and Pink;

e) One (1) pc. pouch color gray; and

f) One (1) Unit Nissan Xtrail color gray bearing plate No. ZKV 337.

The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Brgy. Kgwad Sammy Reyes, Brgy. 176, Caloocan City; and Mr. Alex Mendoza, Hataw News Tabloid/QCPD Press Corps – Media Representative.

The confiscated suspected shabu has an estimated aggregate weight of more or less 105 grams with Standard Drug Price amounting to PHP 740,000.00.

The arrested suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to DDEU-NPD office for proper disposition pending filing appropriate charges in court for the violation of Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec. 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article Il of R.A. 9165 otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002”.

“The reversion of the Metro back to MECQ will not hinder the Team NCRPO to arrest these drug peddlers. It will again be an advantage for us to easily track down their illegal activities and put them behind bars.” PMGEN SINAS said.
