PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS congratulated the District Drug enforcement Unit of the Northern Police District for the successful arrest of one drug personality and confiscation of 884K worth of suspected shabu.
The suspect who is under the drugs watch-list was identified as Guerrero Guinto y Orda also known as “Jero”, male, 45 years old, married, jobless and presently residing at #103 P. Gomez St., Barangay 13, Zone 1,District 2, Caloocan City.
Investigation disclosed that prior to the arrest of the suspect, on July 31, 2020, operatives of RIU-NCR IG personally reported the illegal drug activities of a certain “Jero” who is responsible for the proliferation of illegal drugs in Barangay 8, Caloocan City, nearby barangays and the entire CAMANAVA.
Further, upon validation of the report through intelligence driven operation and series of surveillance, DDEU- NPD operatives plotted and conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of “Jero” along J. Felipe St., Barangay 8, Zone 1, District 2, Caloocan City, at about 10:20 PM on August 5, 2020.
The pieces of evidence recovered from the possession and control of the suspect are:
a. Twenty-six (26) pieces of medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing undetermined amount of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu;
b. One (1) unit white cherry mobile cellular phone;
c. One (1) color brown sling bag ; and,
d. One (1) piece genuine one-thousand-peso bill (Php. 1000.00) incorporated with six (6) pieces 1,000 bill boodle money.
Moreover, during the arrest, the suspect was informed of the nature and cause of his apprehension and was apprised of his Constitutional Rights in Tagalog Language for him to easily understand.
The confiscated pieces of evidence were duly marked, inventoried and photographed at the place of arrest which was witnessed by Barangay Kagawad Reynaldo Bayani of Barangay 8, Zone 1, District 2, Caloocan City and Rodil Vega, media representative of GMA news. Both witnesses and suspect were furnished with inventory receipt.
Seized more or less 130 kilograms of suspected shabu with DDB value amounting to approximately eight hundred eighty-four thousand pesos (PHP884,000.00) and other pieces of evidence were turned-over to the Northern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit for chemical analysis and proper disposition.
Meanwhile, the suspect in custody of DDEU-NPD and will be presented before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceedings in Violation of Section5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
