Elements of PCP 2 Northern Police District Malabon City Police Station recovered almost 200K worth of illegal drugs while conducting Oplan Galugad within its AOR in line with the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
Initial investigation disclosed that at about 11:50 PM, April 13, 2020, during the conduct of the aforesaid police operation, the police officers saw a man with back pack walking towards their direction. However, upon seeing them, the man hurriedly ran away which prompted the police officers to chase him.
Once accosted, suspect was identified as John Vincent Fiegalan y Nazal @JB (User/Not Listed), 22 years old, male, with live-in partner, Filipino, waiter and a resident of No. 173 Malalos Ave. Brgy. 153 Bagong Bario, Caloocan City.
Recovered from his possession are the following items:
a. one (1) Cal 9mm Luger;
b. three (3) magazine loaded with 19 ammunition;
c. one (1) Cal. 45 (Colt);
d. one (1) magazine loaded with 6 ammunition;
e. one (1) Cal. 22 ammunition;
f. one small pouch containing five (5) pieces, plastic heat sealed transparent sachets with white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu;
g. one (1) piece, transparent plastic wrap containing dried leaves and fruiting tops with stalk suspected to be marijuana and marijuana (kush);
h. one (1) piece, plastic heat sealed transparent sachet containing suspected to be marijuana (kush);
i. one (1) transparent plastic bag containing dried leaves and fruiting tops with stalk suspected to be marijuana;
j. one (1)small weighing scale;
k. one (1) tube pipe with traces of suspected to be marijuana and small weighing scale;
l. one (1) tube pipe with traces of suspected to be marijuana; and
m. money amounting to seventy four thousand nine hundred forty pesos (Php 74,940.00).
The recovered suspected shabu has a gross weight of more or less 25.65 grams with a corresponding Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php174,420.00 while the recovered dried leaves, fruiting tops, stalk and kush suspected to be marijuana has a gross weight of about 80.14 grams with a corresponding Standard Drug Price (SDP) of worth Php 9,616.80.
“We continuously intensify our anti-ciminality and anti-illegal drugs campaign especially during the implementation of the extended enhanced commiunity quarantine. We will not lax in our effort to keep the Metro safe not just from the unseen enemy but more so from all forms of criminality and illegal drugs. Hence, we plead cooperation from the people of the Metro to please stay home and refrain from transgressing the law for more than ever, this is not the best time to have a visit in jail,” said NCRPO Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS.
The recovered pieces of evidence was brought to NPD Crime Laboratory Ofﬁce for confirmatory examination while the arrested suspect will be subjected to inquest proceedings before Malabon City Prosecutor Ofﬁce, Malabon City through E-Inquest Procedings.
