The National Capital Region Police Chief PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the successful buy-bust operation of PS 10 Kamuning, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) which resulted in the arrest of the suspect inside the parking lot of East Avenue Medical Center, Brgy. Central, Quezon City at around 5:15 PM of July 7, 2020. This is the second successful among the series of anti-illegal drugs operation of Kamuning Police Station.
The operation stemmed when a regular confidential informant personally appeared in the police station and reported about the illegal activity, particularly selling of shabu. Upon confirming the validity of the report, the operatives proceeded with the buy-bust operation.
Initial report disclosed that the suspect was identified as ALIJOHN CRUZ y Reyes, 47 years old (DOB Apr. 5, 1974), married, jobless, native of Manila and presently residing at No. 775, J. Manuel St., A. Bonifacio Ave., Brgy. 105, Balintawak, Caloocan City.
Seized from the suspect are the following pieces of evidence:
a) Two (2) pieces of medium size heat sealed plastic transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance commonly known shabu (buy-bust items)
b) One (1) brown small envelope
c) Buy-bust money, one piece of genuine five hundred peso bill incorporated with Twenty (20) pieces of one thousand peso bill as boodle money, a total amount of Twenty Thousand Five Hundred
d) One (1) piece of android cellphone
e) One (1) unit of Suzuki Raider
The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Brgy. Kagawad Sharon Bon of Brgy. Central, Quezon City and Media Representative Alex Mendoza of QCPD Press Corps.
The confiscated illegal drugs suspected to be shabu has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 10 grams with DDB value amounting to Php 68,000.00.
The suspect and pieces of evidence were brought to Kamuning Police Station for investigation and proper disposition.
The suspect will be presented to Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for Inquest Proceeding for violation of Section 5, Under Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“I commend the Kamuning Police Station for another successful buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of the suspect. Our continuous campaign in fighting illegal drugs shows that we are serious in eliminating all forms of illegal activities in the Metro,” PMGEN SINAS said.
