Elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit, Navotas City Police Station in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit successfully conducted anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation on May 11, 2020 at about 8:20 PM along Togo St., Brgy Tangos North, Navotas City.
PBGEN RONALDO GENARO YLAGAN identified the suspects as:
1) RONNEL D EREÑO @Onel, 22 years, old, male, single, jobless, resident of 135 M Domingo St., Brgy Tangos North, Navotas City;
2) RANDEL S DELACRUZ @Randel, 24 years old, male, single, fisherman, resident of 106 M Domingo St., Brgy Tangos North, Navotas City;
3) SHEILA M EYANA @Maria, 31 years old, female, single, jobless, resident of 153 M Ablola St., Brgy Tangos South, Navotas City;
4) CHRISTOPHER JAMES G AGUILAR @CJ, 29 years old, male, tricycle driver, resident of 7A Katipunan St., Muzon, Malabon City.
The arrest was made through a buy bust operation wherein an SDEU operative acted as poseur buyer. Upon apprehension, operatives one (1) piece of small, heat-sealed, transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu”; twelve (12) pieces of knot-tied, transparent plastic, ice bag containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” (recovered after valid search upon the arrested suspects); four (4) pieces of heat-sealed, plastic transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu”; one (1) piece staple-locked, transparent plastic bag containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu”; two (2) pieces of genuine one thousand peso bills used as buy-bust money with eight (8) pieces of one thousand peso bills as boodle money; one (1) color grey, Adidas, sling bag; and one (1) color green, eco bag
A total of 855 grams of suspected “shabu” with corresponding street value of Php 5,814,000.00 was confiscated.
Investigation revealed that Randel Dela Cruz was included in the drug watchlist.
The said suspects were temporarily placed under the custody of Navotas Police Station pending their presentation to the City Prosecutors Office for the Inquest proceedings.
The seized suspected shabu will be submitted to PNP-NPD CLO, Samson Rd., Sangandaan, Caloocan City for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Complaints for violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing in the proper Court against the suspects.
The National Capital Region Police Office Regional Director PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended the operatives for the arrest of the suspects. “The Northern Police District has been consistent with their accomplishment. Rest assured that the entire machinery of Team NCRPO is active and aggressive in prioritizing the eradication of illegal drugs in the entire Metro,”he said.
