The National Capital Region Police Office, Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the successful buy-bust operation of the operatives of Police Station 6 Batasan, Quezon City Police District which resulted in the arrest of the suspect for the possession of dangerous drugs and firearm along #03 Madjaas St, Group 2 Area B, Brgy Payatas, Quezon City at around 9:30 PM of July 19, 2020.
The operation stemmed from information provided by QCDIT RIU-NCR regarding the illegal drug and gun running activities of the subjects and their cohorts.
Initial report disclosed that the suspects were identified as:
a) Robert Cabias y Alvero, male, 49 y/o, with live-in partner, garbage collector, native of Leyte and residing at 03 Madjaas St, Group 2 Area B, Brgy Payatas , QC;
b) Erma Bigas y Balenzuela, female, 56 y/o, with live-in partner, jobless, native of Bicol and residing at 03 Madjaas St, Group 2 Area B, Brgy Payatas, QC; and
c) Micheal Castro y Cruz, male, 38 y/o, single, construction, native of Montalban, Rizal and residing at # 24 Yacal St., Brgy San Jose, Rodrigez, Rizal.
Seized from the suspects are the following pieces of evidence:
a) Six (6) pcs small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected SHABU;
b) One (1) pc small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected dried Marijuana fruiting tops;
c) One (1) pc Php500 peso bill bearing serial number DU598944 with initial of the PB “MAF”, utilized as buy bust money;
d) One (1) pc pouch color violet;
e) One (1) pc Cal .38 revolver color Silver without serial number; and
f) Two (2) pcs live ammunition.
The items were duly marked and inventoried with the presence of Brgy. Kagawad Roberto Arca, of Barangay Payatas, Quezon City and Media representative Mr. Christopher Yu of Kalasag News National.
The confiscated illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 5 grams with DDB value amounting to P 34,000.00 and estimated weight of suspected marijuana 0.5 gram with DDB value amounting to P 20.
The confiscated pieces of evidence was turned over to Quezon City Crime Lab for chemical analysis.
The above-mentioned suspects are now detained at Batasan Police Station for proper disposition, pending the filing of appropriate charges in court for the violation of Section 5 (Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), ARTICLE II of RA 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” and violation of Section 28 (Unlawful Acquisition, or Possession of Firearms and Ammunition), ARTICLE V of RA 10591 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act”.
