BUY-BUST OPS CONDUCTED IN CALOOCAN, SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR THE THIRD TIME

The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) District Special Operation Unit (DSOU), Northern Police District for a successful buy-bust operation along No. 124 Magtanggol St., Brgy. 29, Caloocan City at around 2:40 PM of August 29, 2020.

Initial report disclosed that the suspect was identified as Alex Clemente y Santiago alias “Buboy” (Watchlisted), 42 y/o, single, jobless, residing at No. 124, Magtanggol St., Brgy. 29, Caloocan City.

The operation stemmed after an information was provided by a Barangay Official about the illegal drug activities of the suspect. Subsequently, through intelligence driven and surveillance operation, the operatives were able to confirm the veracity of the report. This prompted the operatives to push through with the buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest.

Likewise, further investigation revealed that suspect alias “Buboy” has been arrested twice for the same violation of R.A. 9165 but was released through Plea Bargaining and after posting the bail. Information revealed that the suspect alias “Buboy” was still engaged in selling illegal drugs in Caloocan and nearby Barangays in CAMANAVA area.

Seized from the suspect are the following pieces of evidence:

a.) Twenty (20) pcs. medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu;
b. ) One (1) pc. Genuine PHP 1,000.00 bill;
c.) Fourteen (14) pcs. PHP 1, 000.00 boodle money utilized as buy-bust money;
d.) One (1) unit cellularphone HUAWEI color Blue; and
e.) One (1) sling bag color blue.

The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Brgy. Kagawad Glenn Navarra of Brgy 29, Caloocan City and Media Representative Mr. Ismael “Ka Maeng” Santos of Bulgar Tabloid.

The confiscated illegal drugs has an estimated aggregate weight of more or less 100 grams with Standard Drug Price amounting to PHP 680,000.00.

The arrested suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence will be brought at NPD-DDEU for proper disposition pending the filing of appropriate charges in court for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 Article II of R.A. 9165 or otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.

“I commend the operatives of Northern Police District for their relentless effort in conducting buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect. This is a result of Team NCRPO’s continuous campaign against criminality and illegal drugs in the Metro,” PMGEN SINAS said.
