PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, Chief, NCRPO applauds the District Drug Enforcement Unit, District Intelligence Division and District Special Operation Unit – Northern Police District for the arrest of No. 2 NPD’s Top 10 Drug Personalities and also one of the Leaders of Onie Drug Group through a buy-bust operation Along Julian Felipe St., Barangay 8 Zone 1 District 2 Caloocan City at around 9:00PM of September 02, 2020.

Initial investigation disclosed that the suspect was identified as Jason Matnog y Jinky (Watchlisted ) 24 years old, single, jobless, residing at M19, Thin Shell house, Brgy. 12, Dagat-dagatan, Caloocan City.

The operation stemmed from the information provided by the District Intelligence Division that a certain alias JASON is engaged in the illegal drug activities within Brgys. 12 and 8 of Caloocan City and other Barangays within the CAMANAVA area. Considering that JASON was tagged as No. 2 of NPD’s Top 10 Drug Personalities, he is under close monitoring by both DDEU and DID – NPD.

Subsequently, the operatives of DDEU conducted a thorough validation through Intelligence driven and follow-up operations. After confirming the location of the suspect, the operatives pushed through with the pre-arranged buy-bust operation. Prior to the arrest of JASON, earlier on the same date the operatives were also able to apprehend the Top 1 NPD’s Top 10 Drug Personalities who was identified as ONIE, the main leader of Onie Drug Group.

Seized from the suspect are the following pieces of evidence:

a)         Thirteen (13) pcs. Medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected Shabu;

b)         One (1) pc. genuine P1,000.00 bill with serial number  LB629160 incorporated with boodle money; and

c)         One (1) pc. belt bag color red

The marking and inventory of the recovered pieces of evidence was witnessed by Brgy Kagawad Reynaldo Bacani, Brgy. 8, Caloocan City and Media Representative Mr Ismael “Ka Maeng” Santos, Bulgar Tabloid/CAMANAVA Press Corps.

The confiscated illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 65 grams with Standard Drug Price amounting to PHP 442,000.00. While the arrested suspect and recovered pieces of evidence was brought to DDEU NPD office for proper disposition pending the filing of appropriate charges to the court for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 Article II of R.A. 9165 or otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

“Consecutively arresting the Top 1 and Top 2 of NPD’s Top 10 Drug Personalities is a great achievement for the operatives of Northern Police District. I commend their determination to apprehend these drug peddlers. This will significantly contribute in our fight against criminality and illegal drugs,” PMGEN SINAS said.
