PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauded the operatives of Marikina City Police Station for the successful arrest of a High Valued Individual and recovery of suspected shabu weighing more or less 110 grams with Standard Drug Price of Php748,000 at about 7:30 PM of June 18, 2020 at Room No. 135, SOGO Hotel, located at Brgy Santolan Pasig City.
Records show that operatives of Station Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-RONCR conducted the buy-bust operation which led to the arrest of MAMERTO CRUZ y SOBLETCERO @ TONG, of legal age, single and residing at No. 29 Minahan Interior, Malanday, Marikina City.
Probing reveals that the poseur buyer was able to purchase one (1) piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet suspected to be shabu from Cruz. Upon consumation of the drug deal, poseur buyer executed the pre-arranged signal, thus, back up operatives immediately arrested the suspect.
Seized during the operation were:
a) A total of eleven (11) pieces of heat sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected as dangerous drugs
b) One (1) piece coin purse color black
c) One (1) piece cellfone (Huawei)
d) One ( 1) piece digital weighing scale
e) One (1) piece genuine one (1) Thousand peso bill used as buy bust money and Four (4) pieces One ( 1) Thousand peso bill, fake money ( all recovered)
f) One (1) unit Caliber 9mm Pistol, Jericho 941 F Israel, bearing serial number 20303095
g) Eight (8) pieces caliber 9 mm bullets
e) One (1) piece 9mm Magazine
The inventory of evidence was conducted at the place of arrest witnessed by Brgy Kagawad Dave Cruz of Brgy Santolan Pasig City and Ms. Margie Bautista of Remate.
Suspect in addition to his RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) cases, will also be charged for Violation of RA 10591 ( Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition).
Cruz is now detained at Marikina City Police Station, Custodial Facility while pieces of evidence will be turned over to EPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
“We will never allow drug suspects to continue their activities in Metro Manila. Just the same, Team NCRPO will exert more efforts to confiscate illegally possessed firearms which can be utilized in conducting illegal activities ,” said PMGEN SINAS.
