NCRPO, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS applauds the Station-6 Batasan, Quezon City Police District Police for the prompt and successful arrest of a suspect for carnapping along Puregold Luzon, Commonwealth Avenue, Brgy. Old Balara, Quezon City at around 12:30 AM of August 2, 2020.
Initial investigation showed that the suspect was identified as Marel Caunis Y Mondejar, Filipino, male, 26 years old, single, jobless born in Culiat with postal address at Lansones Street Brgy., Culiat, Quezon City.
The complainant was also identified as Maisara Gorospe Y Mangcog, filipino, female, 36 years old, married, businesswoman, born in Maguindanao with postal address at Hilltop Abatex Brgy., San Jose Rodriguez Rizal.
According to Gorospe, while her motorcycle was parked unattended in front of her given address, suspect with intent to gain allegedly took said motorcycle. After she received an information that her missing motorcycle was stolen by the suspect who was hiding in Batasan. It prompted her to seek assistance from the operatives of PS-6.
Upon receiving the report, the operatives immediately conducted a follow-up operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect and recovery of the motorcycle.
Seized from the suspect was one (1) YAMAHA MIO I 125 with MV File no. 1380-00001173911, engine no. E3R2E-2407876, chassis no. PAOSE9810K0391721 registered under complainant’s name.
The case was turned-over to Rodriguez Police Office for filing of Carnapping case against the suspect.
