Criminal Case versus 3 Suspects in Chinese Prostitution Syndicate nabbed for bribery – formally filed

A criminal case for violation of Article 212 or Corruption of Public Official in relation to Article 6 of the Revised Penal Code was formally referred before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office against the three individuals who attempted to pay PHP2 million bribe money to the Chief of NCRPO Regional Special Operations Unit, PLTCOL ROGARTH CAMPO.

NCRPO Chief, PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR identified the three as Atty. Joselito Vasquez, male, 56 years old, married, lawyer and a resident of 7109, Anselmo St., Makati City; Meljohn Palma, 43 years old, with live-in partner, messenger, native of Iloilo City and resident of No. 16, Kapit-Bisig St., BF International Village, Las Piñas City; And Huang Xiangfei, male, 28 years old, Chinese National, married, native of Hunan, China and presently residing at No. 894, Alvarado St., Binondo, Manila.

The NCRPO Director expounded that the three suspects, including a lawyer, were arrested on September 6,2019 (Friday) after offering PHP2 million bribe to Chief, RSOU PLTCOL ROGARTH B CAMPO in exchange for the release of a Chinese national who was arrested in an anti-human trafficking operation in Makati City.

They were arrested in an entrapment operation inside the NCRPO’s Regional Special Operations Unit (RSOU) office at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig around 2:00 AM.

PLTCOL CAMPO stated, “Our Regional Director PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR has always demanded of us to respect our uniform. With his leadership he inspires us to do so. For my part, no amount of money from criminals can make me betray the leadership of our Regional Director.”

PMGEN ELEAZAR added, “This shows the real values of the gallant men and women in uniform of NCRPO. These are the kind of policemen that we need, to show our people that we can be trusted and that the majority of policemen are respectable and professional.”
