Ermita Police Station Collared Nine Chinese Drug Suspects In Pot Session

Nine drug suspects were arrested by elements of Paco Police Community Precinct, Ermita Police Station, MPD during a follow-up operation at about 7:30 AM of May 18, 2020 at Brick Stone Hotel, inside room number 301 located at 1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila through a report given by an anonymous informant.

NCRPO Director PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS identified the suspects as:

1 – HUANG KANG CHEN, male, 26 years old, single, Chinese national, POGO employee and temporarily billeted at room 301 Brick Stone Hotel, 1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila;

2- POU DI ZHU, male, 28 years old, single, Chinese national, POGO employee, and temporarily billeted at room 301 Brick Stone Hotel, 1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila;

3- LI JUN, male, 26 years old, single, Chinese national, jobless and temporarily billeted at room 301 Brick Stone Hotel, 1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila;

4 – LIUHAN YANG, male, 24 years old, single, Chinese national, POGO employee, and temporarily billeted at room 301 Brick Stone Hotel,1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila;

5-HAI YANG, male, 24 years old, single, Chinese national, POGO employee and temporarily billeted at room 301 Brick Stone Hotel ,1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila;

6 -HOU YAQIANG, male, 31 years old, married, Chinese national, POGO employee and temporarily billeted at room 301 Brick Stone Hotel ,1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila;

7 – TANG SHAOHUA, male, 29 years old, single, Chinese national, POGO employee and temporarily billeted at room 301 Brick Stone Hotel, 1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila;

8- LIU JI JANG, male, 29 years old, single, Chinese national, POGO employee, and temporarily billeted at room 301 Brick Stone Hotel, 1417 M. H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila; and

9- RANICA FERMIZA y NMN, female, 24 years old, single, jobless and presently residing at University Place Residence, Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila.

Investigation revealed that the informant went to PACO PCP for police assistance in relation to the suspicious items subject for delivery in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Accordingly, he noticed that the protruding plastic sachet containing crystalline substance believed to be shabu was inside a plastic sachet of I COOL chewing gum.

Upon confirmation that the said package was containing illegal drugs by the police officers, they, together with the informant immediately proceeded to the Brick Stone Hotel for possible apprehension of the suspects.

The informant called Huang Kang Cheng as soon as they arrived at the hotel and he was advised to go to their room at number 301. The informant then knocked and handed the delivery items to Huang Kang Cheng.

When Huang Kang Cheng noticed the presence of the police officers, he immediately tried to close the door but police officers were able to prevent him from locking it. Thereon, operatives immediately chased the suspect and when they were inside the room, they personally witnessed the group of other persons while on the actual use of illegal drugs (pot session).

Seized pieces of evidence were one (1) Smith and Wesson, Caliber 38 revolver without serial number; five (5) caliber .38 live ammunition.

Estimated weight is 16 grams with a street value of Php 108,800.

Separate charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale, Trading, Administration, Delivery, Distribution and Transportation of dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals), 11 (Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drug) Section 12 (Possession of Equipment, Instrument, Apparatus and Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drugs) and Section 15 (Used of Dangerous Drugs) Article Il of RA 9165 otherwise known as Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are being prepared for filing in the proper court against the suspects.

“This is just one of the many successful anti-illegal drug operations we have that proves our continuing anti-illegal drugs campaign is effective. Through the cooperation of the public, we will apprehend every drug suspect in the Metro,” PMGEN SINAS said.
