Five Fruit Game Machines Seized In Pasay

The National Capital Region Police Chief PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the successful anti-illegal gambling operations launched by the personnel of the Southern Police District, Pasay City Police Station Intelligence Section which led to the confiscation of five illegal gambling machines commonly known as fruit game machines.

According to the initial report, the operation stemmed from a telephone call  received by the Intelligence Section of Pasay City Police Station at about 4:40 pm of July 5, 2020 regarding the alleged presence of Fruit Game Machines inside the house located in Apelo Cruz Street,  Barangay 157,  Malibay, Pasay City.

The operatives immediately formed a team to conduct intelligence monitoring and surveillance to determine the veracity of information.

Upon arrival in the place, the team saw thru an open door the presence of five (5) units of Fruit game Machines left unattended. Hence, the said machines were confiscated and brought to Station Intelligence Section for proper disposition and documentation.

Further probing disclosed that the owner of the house known as Mr Pedro Dayta is presently detained at Pasay City Jail after being arrested for Violation of Sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165 on March 6, 2020.

“Our invigorated campaign against illegal gambling encompasses all forms thereof until the very least. This gambling machines may be considered as one of the most dangerous form of gambling equipment because the main target are children/minors. There is a huge tendency that they will get hooked with this game and eventually, learn to do unlawful things at a very young age. I commend the operation conducted by the Pasay City Police in furtherance of our mission to serve and protect the people of the Metro,” said PMGEN SINAS.
