FOUR SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN A BUY BUST OPERATION IN MANDALUYONG


The National Capital Region Police Chief PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the anti-illegal drugs effort of the personnel of Mandaluyong City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit which led to the arrest of four drug personalities at around 11:55 PM of July 9, 2020 inside No. 234 Neptali Gonzales St Barangay Hagdang Bato Itaas, Mandaluyong City.

The operation stemmed from a report of a regular confidential informant regarding the illegal drug activities of the suspects.

This prompted the police officers to plot a buy-bust operation in close coordination with PDEA wherein one of the police officers acted as the poseur-buyer of illegal drugs.

Thereafter, they went to the place of transaction and managed to buy a piece of heat sealed plastic transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu in exchange of Php500.00 buy-bust money.

Consequently, upon consummation of the transaction, the police officer poseur-buyer signalled for the arrest of the suspects who were later identified to be the following persons:

PEDRO DEL PRADO JR y POSADAS, (not included in EPD Drug Watch list), 43 years old (DOB: 04/4/77), single, jobless and a resident of No. 234 Neptali Gonzales St., Barangay Hagdang Bato Itaas, Mandaluyong City;

EVELYN MANZON y DEL PRADO, (not included in EPD Drug Watch list) 28 years old (DOB: 01/29/92), single, jobless and a resident of No. 234 Neptali Gonzales St, Barangay Hagdang Bato Itaas, Mandaluyong City;

VIRGINIA DEL PRADO y JACINTO, @ virgie (not included In EPD Drug Watch list), 42 years old (DOB: 07/2/78), married, service crew and a resident of No. 234 Neptali Gonzales St., Barangay Hagdang Bato Itaas Mandaluyong City; and

JUVYLYN MUNOZ y NEBALASCA, (not included in EPD Drug Watch list), 31 years old (DOB: 01/18/89) single, jobless and a resident of No. 234 Neptali Gonzales St. Barangay Hagdang Bato Itaas, Mandaluyong City.

Seized inside the same dwelling were several other pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected illegal drugs. It was inventoried and marked in the presence of mandatory witnesses Brgy Kagawad Ruben M Parada of Brgy Hagdang Bato Itaas and GMA Media representative Corrine Catibayan.

The recovered pieces evidence includes the following items:

a. One (1) piece small plastic sachet of suspected shabu (subject of sale) weighing .3 gram with DDB value of Php 2040.00;

b. Nine (9) pieces transparent sachet of suspected shabu weighing 9 grams with DDB value of Php 61,200.00;

c. One piece of unsealed plastic sachet containing traces of suspected shabu;

d. One piece Black pouch containing recovered money with estimated amount of Php 7,100.00;

e. One small black pouch; and

f. One piece of bundled plastic sachet.

The suspects are presently detained in Mandaluyong City Police Station pending the filing of charges for violation of Sec. 5. Sec. 26 and Sec. 11, RA 9165 while the seized suspected shabu were turned over to the crime laboratory for confirmatory chemical examination.
