The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commends the operatives of Intelligence Section of Pasay City Police Station, Southern Police District for the arrest of the suspect in possession of a high-grade marijuana along Bigonia St. Rivera Village, Brgy. 199, Zone 20, Pasay City around 10:30 PM of August 3, 2020.
Initial report showed that the suspect was identified as Johnny Naduma Jr y Carba @ JR, 27 years old, male, single, jobless and a resident of No. 8, Bigonia Street, Rivera Village, Brgy. 199, Zone 20, Pasay City. He is also included in the Station Drug Watchlist of Pasay City.
Accordingly, the operatives of Pasay City Police Station was conducting a surveillance when they encountered a commotion, prompting them to intervene. As they were about to approach the crowd, the persons involved in the commotion ran to different directions. A chase ensued which resulted in the arrest of the suspect while the rest escaped. Suspect however violently resisted and pushed the operatives until he was subdued.
Upon apprehension, the operatives conducted procedural search and recovered the following pieces of evidence:
a) One (1) pack of suspected High-Grade Marijuana(kush) weighing more or less 230 grams with DDB Value of P276,000.00;
b) One (1) piece Digital weighing scale; and
c) One (1) piece small glass pipe containing partially burned suspected marijuana.
The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Rodolfo Sadiwa Jr and Brgy Kagawad Dennis Antoni, both from Barangay 199, Zone 20, Pasay City and Media representative Mr. Eric Jayson Drew of Hataw-Tri Media.
The confiscated marijuana has an estimated total of 230 grams amounting to PHP 276,000.00. It was turned over to SPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
The suspect is detained in Pasay City Police Station Custodial Facility for proper disposition pending the filing of appropriate charges in court for violation of Sec. 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of R.A. 9165 otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002” and Resisting Arrest.
