HOLY WEEK RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

This Police Office through the Regional Chaplain Service (RCS) in cooperation with the Soldiers of Christ (SOC) Movement and Lector Commentator (LECOM) conducted Holy Week Religious Activities from April 14 to 21, 2019 at NCRPO Saint Joseph Chapel, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City. The activity was attended by the NCRPO Command Group, members of the Regional Staff, Regional Support Units, uniformed and Non-uniformed personnel with their dependents and residents near the Camp. 

During the observance, the following activities were conducted: 

On April 14, 2019, 8:00 AM “Domingo De Ramos”, Rev. Fr. (PLTCOL) RONILO A DATU, Chief Regional Chaplain Service together with Rev. Fr. Pete Taton officiated the mass during Palm Sunday, wherein he stressed in his homily that as Christians, we shall commemorate the Lenten season to reminisce the sacrifices of Our Lord Jesus Christ for mankind. The mass was followed by the Blessing of Palms and procession held in front of the NCRPO Admin Building, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City. 
On April 15, 2019 “Holy Monday”, Rev. Fr. (PLTCOL) RONILO A DATU, Chief, Regional Chaplain Service conducted confession at exactly 2:00 PM in the afternoon, followed by a mass from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In his homily he emphasized the importance of confession to all Christians to clear our souls, hearts and minds from sin and announced the opening of PABASA from 5:00 PM to 3:00 PM of April 16, 2019. 
On April 16, 2019 “Holy Tuesday”, Rev. Fr. (PLTCOL) RONILO A DATU, Chief, Regional Chaplain Service, NCRPO together with Rev. Fr. Leoncito Falcasantos, Jr., Recollection Master, conducted Lenten Recollection with the theme: “Let the Broken Hearted Whole, a Spiritual Journey Towards Inner Transformation” at exactly 1:00 PM held at the NCRPO Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City followed by the Closing of PABASA conducted by the members of the Soldiers of Christ (SOC). After which, Rev. Fr. DATU officiated the Holy Mass at NCRPO Saint Joseph Chapel, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City. In his homily he mentioned the role and sacrifices of Virgin Mary for his beloved son Jesus Christ and for mankind. 
On April 17, 2019 “Holy Wednesday”, Rev. Fr. RONILO A DATU, Chief, Regional Chaplain Service and Rev. Fr. Pete Taton officiated the Holy Mass from 4:30 AM to 5:30 AM at Saint Joseph Chapel, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City. It was attended by personnel from the Regional Staff, NCRPO Support Units and RMFB; members of Soldiers of Christ, Lector Commentators and families of NCRPO personnel. After the mass, team NCRPO visited the following Churches in the Province of Bulacan for Visita Iglesia: 

1 Barasoain Church (also known as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish), Malolos, Bulacan;
2 Parokya ni San Agustin Hermandad Delos Siete Dolores, Poblacion in Baliuag, Bulacan;
3 Sta. Monica Church in Matias A Fernando Ave. Angat, Bulacan;
4 San Isidro Labrador, Parish Church in Pulilan, Bulacan;
5 St. Joseph the Worker in Panginay, Balagtas, Bulacan;
6 St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Marilao, Bulacan; and
7 St. Francis of Assisi Church, Meycauayan, Bulacan. 

The activity is a Holy Week practice where devotees visit and pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament and others offer personal prayers. 

On April 18, 2019 “Maundy Thursday”, Rev. Fr. (PLTCOL) RONILO A DATU, Chief, Regional Chaplain Service officiated Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper, Washing of the Feet of the 12 Apostles, Transfer of the Blessed Sacrament, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament/Last Supper followed by the Mid-Vigil at the Blessed Sacrament with the Vigil Sponsors. 

On April 19, 2019 “Good Friday”, Regional Chaplain Service together with the members of the Command Group, Regional Staff, Regional Support Units, Special Action Force (SAF), Regional Mobile Force Batallion (RMFB), National Capital Region Training Center (NCRTC) conducted the stations of the cross at the following vicinity of Camp Bagong Diwa: 

1 The First (1st) Station is the “Anawin of the Lord SOC” sponsored by the office of RHSU, RESPO, RLS, and NCRTC Alpha Coy;
2 Second (2nd) Station is “Corazon De Jesus De Maria and Hand Made of the Lord SOC” sponsored by the Command Group and NCRTC Bravo Coy;
3 Third (3rd) Station is the “Devine Love SOC” sponsored by RPRMD, RHRAO and NCRTC Charlie Coy;
4 Fourth (4th) Station is the “Ina ng Laging Saklolo SOC” sponsored by RID, ROD and NCRTC Delta Coy;
5 Fifth (5th) Station is the “Our Lady of Fatima SOC” sponsored by NCRTC Staff and NCRTC Echo Coy;
6 Sixth (6th) Station is “Pag-ibig kay Jesus SOC” sponsored by the RLRDD, RCADD, RCRMC and NCRTC Foxtrot Coy;
7 Seventh (7th) Station is “Pater Desus SOC” sponsored by RCD, RIDMD and NCRTC Golf Coy;
8 Eighth (8th) Station is the “Patnubay SOC” sponsored by RLDDD, RCEO, and NCRTC Hotel Coy;
9 Ninth (9th) Station is the “Rabbi SOC” sponsored by RPSMD, RPMU, RIAS and NCRTC India Coy;
10 Tenth (10) Station is the “Sancti Amari SOC” sponsored by Finance, COA and Accounting;
11 Eleventh (11th) Station is the “Servus Christi SOC” sponsored by RSOU, BID and RTOIC;
12 Twelfth (12th) Station is the “Saint Michael SOC” sponsored by the RMFB;
13 Thirteenth (13th) Station is the “Good Shepherd SOC” sponsored by SAF; and
14 Fourteenth (14th) Station is the “United Brothers SOC” sponsored by the office of RHS, RSTU and NCRTC Juliet Coy followed by the Liturgy of the word/Veneration of the Cross.

On April 20, 2019 “Black Saturday”, the Regional Chaplain conducted Blessing of Fire and Renewal of Baptismal Promises infront of the St. Joseph Chapel, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City. 

On April 21, 2019 “Easter Sunday”, at about 5:00 AM in the morning, the Regional Chaplain Service conducted SALUBONG followed by the Eucharistic Celebration officiated by Rev. Fr. (PLTCOL) RONILO A DATU, Chief, Regional Chaplain Service. In his homily, he explained that “SALUBONG” is the meeting of the resurrected Christ and His sorrowing mother Mary as the angels sing Gloria. It was followed by the Easter egg hunting for children.
