PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, NCRPO Regional Director lauds the anti-criminality efforts of National Capital Region Police Office that led to the confiscation of undetermined chinese medicines and medical supplies at about 12:10 AM of June 6, 2020 at the 2nd floor of Diamond Bay Tower., Located at Roxas Boulevard, Brgy. Baclaran, Parañaque City.
The operation stemmed from the report of a confidential informant regarding the illegal activities inside the building under construction. Week long surveillance was conducted that resulted in positive validation, thus, the operation was hatched.
Investigation disclosed that the Paranaque Intelligence Unit, City Health office and Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) officers discovered a chinese clinic without business permit during the implementation of Search warrant issued by Judge Noemi Balitaan of Rtc 258 Paranaque City on the said building.
More or less 237 boxes and plastic bags of undetermined chinese medicines and medical supplies presumably used to treat COVID 19 were seized by the operating units.
Further verification on the identity of the owners/operators is currently being investigated by the NCRPO.
“Covid 19 is a deadly pathogen, therefore, patients must be attended and treated by professional doctors and nurses. Similar illegally operating clinics must be immediately reported to the authorities. In line with this, we encourage the public to coordinate with the nearest police station for any information that they may give with an assurance that their identity will be highly confidential,” NCRPO Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS.
