NCRPO Chief PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the successful conduct of “Oplan Greyhound” by the Southern Police District
Pasay Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit which resulted in the discovery of illegal drugs activities inside their custodial facility.

According to the initial report, the operation stemmed from a tip of a confidential informant regarding the alleged passing of contrabands inside the SDEU Custodial Facility.

Consequently, the duty jailer was instructed to conduct an “OPLAN GREYHOUND” operation inside the facility which resulted in the discovery of suspected illegal drugs and other drug paraphernalia inside food packages belonging to one (1) Person Under Police Custody (PUPC) identified to be “WEN BO”, a Chinese National.

Recovered from him were the following items to wit:

-Two (2) pcs. small ziplock transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 3 grams with DDB value Php 20,400.00;

  • 1 pc. improvised glass tube;
  • 2 pcs. chinese instant noodles;
  • 1 pc. black plastic straw;
  • 2 pcs. chinese wafer;
  • 1 pc. yellow paper bag;
  • 1 pc. plastic bubble wrap; and
  • 1 pc. medium sized plastic ziplock.

The items were duly inventoried in the presence of the following mandatory witnesses, Brgy. Kagawad Jene Jade Danos of Brgy. 70, Zone 9 Pasay City and media representative Mr. Eric Jayson Drew of Hataw Pasay City Press Office.

The suspect remains to be detained inside the SDEU Custodial Facility while the suspected illegal drugs were turned over to the crime laboratory for chemical analysis and confirmatory testing.

“I commend the immediate response of Pasay City SDEU to the report on the alleged existence of illegal drugs inside their facility. Their prompt and immediate execution of Oplan Greyhound Operations which resulted in the successful confiscation of the contraband and discovery of the illicit activities of the suspect is truly notable,” said PMGEN SINAS.
