The NCRPO under the helm of its Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS supported the 48 Hour Hard Lock Down in Barangay 60, Zone 5 and Barangay 163, Zone 14, District II of Manila for purpose of disease surveillance, verification of testing and rapid risk assessment in relation to COVID-19.
Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso directed to strictly implement the 48 Hours “Hard Lockdown on the said barangays from 12:00 AM of 19 June 2020 until 11:59 PM of 20 June 2020.
Before the start of the Hard Lockdown, a Pre-deployment briefing among the personnel if PS-7, Manila Police District, DMFB augmented personnel and JTF personnel in front of Jose Abad Santos Police Station 7 at about 8:00 on June 18, 2020.
On June 19, 2020 at about 8:00 AM, there were four hundred twenty six (426) rapid tests conducted wherein five (5) individuals yielded positive result. On the other hand, one hundred fifty seven (157) SWAB Test were also conducted in Brgy 60 and Brgy 163, however, the results are yet to be released.
During the 48 hour implementation of the hard lockdown, all residents were prohibited from going out of their homes, except for the healthcare workers, police and military personnel, government employees, service workers and barangay officials.
The Hard Lockdown in Barangay 60 in Zone 5 and Barangay 163 in Zone 14 was terminated at 12:00 midnight of June 21, 2020 with a debriefing held in front of Brgy Hall of 163.
There were sixteen (16) individuals who were apprehended during the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine from June 19-20, 2020. Appropriate charges have been referred to the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office against individuals who were found violating the City Ordinance.
Upon its conclusion, Brgy Chairwoman Lourdes Gutierrez of Brgy 163 gave her appreciation for the effort of the deployed personnel which led to the successful conduct of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in her area of responsibility.
