MAKATI CITY POLICE STATION LAUNCHED “ADOPT AN INDIGENT FAMILY PROGRAM”

The Southern Police District Makati City Police Station launched the 5th day of its “Adopt an Indigent Family Program” at around 2:00 PM of April 13, 2020. The initiative was guided by Makati Chief of Police PCOL ROGELIO P SIMON thru PLT AMELIA B BRIOSO wherein the personnel of Makati City Police Station SCADS unit extended help to six (6) recipient families by giving away basic food items to sustain their daily living amid the COVID-19 crisis.

The recipient of the program are the families of construction workers living on a barracks at daffodil street brgy Rizal Makati City.

Basic food items include 3kls of rice and 5 canned goods which are given away to the six families daily starting April 9, 2020. The programs aims to support the beneficiaries until the end of the extended enhanced community quarantine to ensure obedience to the “stay at home” and 24 hr curfew being implemented in Luzon.

“This is the fifth day of the “Adopt an Indigent Family Program” of the Makati City Police. I am elated and proud of the selfless initiative of my men towards our less fortunate fellows. Their generosity echoes the mantra of the PNP which is to serve and protect. May we continue to become a channel of blessings especially as we face the crisis brought by this CoViD 19 pandemic,” said PMGEN SINAS.
