Makati Police Nabs Makati City’s PSD Employee For Robbery Extortion

The National Capital Region Police Office Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, lauded another prompt response of Makati City Police for nabbing an abusive employee of the Public Safety Department of Makati City Government yesterday, July 30, 2020 at Ayala Avenue, Brgy. San Antonio, Makati City.

The quick response of the Makati City Police was prompted by the report and complaint of Eduardo Aquino y Hernades, 40 years old, presently staying at Makati City Fire Station located at Ayala Avenue, Brgy. San Antonio, Makati City.

Aquino sought police assistance for the incident that happened around 10:00 o’clock in the morning of July 30, 2020, the suspect PSD employee Fidelito Atienza flagged down his motorcycle along the stretch of Ayala Avenue, Brgy. San Antonio, Makati City. Atienza confiscated his driver’s license and thereafter asked for money in exchange to his violation.

Taking cognizance of the report, Makati City Police Station immediately composed joint operatives of SIDMS and SWAT/TMR including the Public Safety Department of Makati City personnel to conduct entrapment operation against Atienza.

At around 12:00 PM of same date, the entrapment team of Makati City Police together with complainant proceeded to Ayala Avenue, Brgy. San Antonio, Makati City and strategically positioned thereat. Afterwards, complainant approached the suspect and handed over the entrapment money.

Bingo! The Makati City Police entrapment team approached the suspect and placed Atienza under arrest for Robbery Extortion. The entrapment money amounting to Php 500.00 with Serial No. P330827 from the possession of suspect PSD Atienza was recovered.

Subsequently, the suspect was brought to Ospital ng Makati for Mandatory Physical and Medical Examination while the recovered pieces of evidence were properly photographed and turned over to PMSg Harley Abuan, Evidence Custodian for safe keeping.

NCRPO Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS reiterated and further encouraged the public to immediately report to the police any abusive person, groups and activities that could be a threat to peace and order so that appropriate and prompt police actions shall take place.
