National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS compliments the operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Intelligence operatives of Makati City Police Station for the successful arrest of a drug suspect during a buy bust operation conducted on August 11, 2020 at about 2.30 PM along Kalayaan st, Brgy Singkamas Makati City.
Suspect was identified as Marlon Abustan y Dimatanggal, 23y/o, single, jobless, born on April 10, 1996 resident of No.4040 Kalayaan St, Brgy Singkamas, Makati City.
Investigation disclosed that series of verification on the report received from a confidential informant has been conducted by the SDEU Makati. Upon validation, they immediately coordinated with the agents of PDEA and plotted a buy-bust operation.
Thereafter, SDEU operatives together with Intel operatives conducted a buy bust operation wherein one of the police acted as poseur buyer and was able to purchase One (1) piece of transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth PHP 500.00 pesos. Upon completion of transaction, operatives immediately effected his arrest.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession and control were thirteen(13) pieces small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu; one (1) piece digital weighing scale; one (1) piece pouch color gray; and one (1) piece 500 peso bill money (buy bust money).
Confiscated shabu with estimated weight of 15grams with DDB value of PHP 102,000 pesos was turned over to SPD Crime Laboratory for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Meanwhile, suspects are now detained at the custodial facility of Makati City Police Station pending the filing of charges of Violation of Sections 5(Selling of dangerous drugs) and 11 (Possession of dangerous drugs) under Article II of R.A. 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
