Chief NCRPO PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the Mandaluyong City Police Station, Eastern Police District for their prompt response in arresting a male suspect for Corruption of Public Official and Falsification of Public Document on August 25, 2020 at about 10:30AM inside the Office of PCSO General Manager, located on the 10th Floor, Suntrust Building, Shaw Boulevard, Brgy. Wack-wack, Mandaluyong City.
Records show that one male personality appeared in the 10th Floor, Suntrust Building, and told the employees that he had a prior appointment with the PCSO General Manager. Accordingly, while complainant, PCSO General Manager PCOL. ROYINA MARZAN GARMA (Ret) was in her office, the said suspect entered and passed a document to her (PCSO Request, addressed to Governor of Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas Hon. Benjamin Diokno) together with a paper bag which contains a bundle of Php 1,000 peso bills with a total amount of Php 100,000.00.
The suspect identified as Ryan Patrick Neppomuceno y Pancho, 44 y/o, single, Civil Engineer/ Professor and resident of #26 Dahlia St., Sampaguita Village, San Pedro, Laguna asked for the General Manager’s signature as an approval for the document he handed.
With no second thought, PCOL GARMA, a lady cop prior to her appointment as the General Manager of the PCSO, effected his arrest with the help of other employees. They immediately reported the incident to the station, thus, police officers responded right away.
Further investigation disclosed that the said document was questionable, since the same was not executed by PCSO.
Suspect was charged today before the City Prosecutor of Mandaluyong, Atty Querubin Garcia for Corruption of Public Officials and Falsification of Public Document.
“No amount of money can buy the integrity that police officers, particularly, PCOL GARMA upholds. We are glad that Mandaluyong Police responded hastily to apprehend the suspect. The public can be assured that we will not allow criminals to take advantage of anyone to include the public officials for their personal greed,” stated PMGEN SINAS.
