Masambong Police Arrests Drug Suspect and His Cohort for Obstruction, Confiscates 3 Kilos Of Marijuana

Anti-drug efforts of the elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit- Masambong Police Station 2 successfully conducted an anti-illegal drug buy bust operation at about 2:15AM of March 7,2020 infront of # 4 Morning Glory cor. Mistletoe St., Del Nacia Ville Brgy. Talipapa, Quezon City.

PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, Regional Director, NCRPO positively identified the suspect as Fritz Tyrone B. Balutan @BOSS, male, 21years old, single, student, native of Cavite and resident at 95 JP Ramoy St. Brgy. 164 Caloocan City.

The arrest was made through the buy-bust operation conducted wherein a SDEU operative acted as a poseur buyer. Operatives were able to transact with Balutan and Cherry N. Nambio. However, upon apprehension, one Maria Jessica De Guzman obstructed the course of arrest; therefore, Nambio was able to escape and went into hiding. Balutan was arrested together with De Guzman for Obstruction of Apprehension and Prosecution of Criminal Offenders.

Recovered at the scene was a MOL 3 Kgs of suspected MARIJUANA with estimated street value of Php 360,000.00.

The seized pieces of evidence were immediately brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory Office for qualitative examination.

Criminal complaint for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing in court against suspect Balutan while violation of PD 1829 (Obstruction of Apprehension and Prosecution of Criminal Offenders) will be filed against De Guzman. Nambio who remains at large will be filed with violation of Section 11 of RA 9165.

Meantime, the Metro Top Cop PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended the operating Team for another remarkable accomplishment of Team NCRPO’s relentless illegal drugs campaign.

“This is just one of many successful anti-illegal drug operations we have. Drug pushers will surely be put behind the bars”, he stated.
