Masambong Police Arrests Two Drug Suspects; Yields 1M Worth Of Shabu

Operatives of Masambong Police Station 2 successfully conducted an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation at about 11:45 PM of May 17, 2020 in front of SM North Edsa along North Ave. Brgy Bagong Pag Asa, Quezon city.

PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, Regional Director, NCRPO positively identified the suspects as:

1. Mark Sandig y Torqueza, 24yo, DOB Nov. 17, 1995, male, single, jobless, a native of Iloilo  and resident of Block 135 lot 8 Purok 5, Brgy. Upper Bicutan , Taguig City.  (sec. 5 & 11). Newly Identified.

2.Joreen Rodriguez y Vega, female, 32yo, married, jobless, native of Taguig and presently residing at no 103 Iceland Cassell Residence.

The arrest was made through buy-bust operation conducted wherein an operative acted as a poseur buyer. Upon consummation of the deal, said operatives immediately effected the arrest.

Recovered from their possession and control were one (1) piece of genuine One thousand peso bill (1000.00) incorporated with 79 pieces of one thousand boodle money as Boodle Money, and more or less 150 grams of suspected SHABU with estimated street value of Php 1,020,000.00.

The arrested suspects are now under the custody of the said station while the recovered pieces of evidence will be turned over to the Crime Laboratory for analysis.

Criminal complaints for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.

Meantime, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended the relentless efforts of Quezon City Police District in eliminating illegal drugs within their area of responsibility.

“Our invigorated operations towards the attainment of a drug free community is working its way despite the current pandemic we are facing”, he stated.
