The National Capital Region Police Office under the helm of PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS ceaselessly extends their help to the less fortunate and most vulnerable members of the community. Towards this end, distribution of food packages relative to PNP KAPWA KO, SAGOT KO “Adopt an Indigent Family” Program transpired yesterday, June 12, 2020 coinciding with the celebration of the 122nd Philippine Independence.
The Northern Police District (NPD) was able to help 2,422 families in Brgy. 16 and Brgy. 31, Caloocan City; and Brgy. San jose, Navotas City. Eastern Police District (EPD) reached out to 3,081 families in Brgy. Malinao, Caruncho Avenue, VICPER, Pasig City; Brgy. Kalawaan, and Pag-asa Compound, Pasig City. Manila Police District (MPD) adopted a total of 2,220 families in Sta Mesa, Manila along Anonas Railroad Track, Brgy. 630, Zone 63, Sta. Mesa, Manila; Brgy. 715, Zone 78 Dahlia St., Leveriza, Malate, Manila; and Brgy. 194 Zone 17, Tondo, Manila.
Meanwhile, Southern Police District handed over relief goods to 2,410 families in Coronel Estacio St. Palingon Tipas, Taguig City; Marawi Ave. Cor. Maranto st. Brgy . Maharlika, Taguig City; and Tambakan Magsalin Calzada Tipas, Taguig City. Quezon City Police District (QCPD) gave out food packages to 3,700 families in Sitio San Roque, Bagong Pagasa; Salaam compound, Brgy Culiat; San Agustin and San Bartolome; Ramon Magsaysay; Brgy Holy Spirit; and Brgy Kaunlaran, Quezon City. The Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) distributed 400 food packages; and the Regional Headquarters helped 600 families.
A total of 14,833 relief food packages were distributed regionwide during the celebration of Independence Day. Metro cops continuously contributes a portion of their salary to help those in need during this pandemic.
