NCRPO Chief PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the successful anti-illegal drugs operation of the Caloocan City Police Station which led in the confiscation of around Php16,660,000.00 worth of suspected illegal drugs at about 8:00 PM of June 12, 2020 along Abdulasis St., Phase 12, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City.
Initial investigation report disclosed that the operation was plotted by operatives of the Caloocan City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with PDEA-RONCR under Coordination Control # 10001-062020-0233.
According to the report, the operatives has been monitoring the illegal drug activity of the suspects based from the reports of confidential informants followed by a series of surveillance which positively established their involvement in big time illegal drug activities in the Metro.
Consequently, a buy bust operation was plotted wherein one of the operatives acted as a poseur buyer of shabu. After the consumation of the offense, he signaled for the arrest of the suspects who were later identified to be the following persons to wit:
a. SALAHUDIN ABEDIN y Managantan @Boss, pusher, male, 35 y/o, (DOB: April 17, 1985/POB: Marawi City,) jobless and a resident of Abdulasis St., Phase 12, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City;
b) JAMAL MUSTAPHA y Disomimba, male, 36 y/o, (DOB: January 7, 1984/POB: Cotabato City,) married, muay thai instructor, and a resident of Abdulasis St., Phase 12, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City;
c) ASNIHAYA DISOMIMBA y Mustapha, female, 30 y/o, (DOB: August 17, 1989/POB: Marawi City,) married, online-seller, and a resident of Abdulasis St., Phase 12, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City; and
d) MISALY MUSTAPHA y Kamid @Sally, pusher, female, 34 y/o, (DOB: October 19, 1986/POB: Marawi City,) married, jobless, and a resident of Abdulasis St., Phase 12, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City.
Recovered from their possession are the following pieces of evidence:
a. one (1) piece of medium knot tied transparent plastic bag containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu;
b. five (5) pieces genuine one thousand peso bill;
c. forty seven (47) pieces of one thousand peso fake/boodle money used as buy-bust money; and
d. twenty five (25) pieces of medium knot tied transparent plastic bag containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an aggregate weight of more or less two kilos and four hundred fifty (2,450) grams with a standard drug price of Php 16,660,000.
The physical inventory of the seized pieces of evidence was conducted in the place of arrest as witnessed by Brgy. 188 Kagawad Editha A Dumasig and Media representative Mr. Renato R Pedroche of Latigo News TV. The operatives invited representatives from the National Prosecution Service (NPS/DOJ) ahead of time but no such representative appeared.
The suspects were taken in custody and will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the suspected shabu will be brought to the crime laboratory for confirmatory testing.
