The National Capital Region Police Chief PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the anti-illegal drugs effort of the Ermita Police Station ( PS 5), Manila Police District which resulted to the seizure of more than 1 Million pesos worth of suspected illegal drugs at around 3:30 AM of July 11, 2020 inside the house located at Block 11, Lot 9, St. Alta Homes Sunnyvale, Molino III Bacoor, Cavite.
According to the initial report, the operation stemmed from a tip given by a confidential informant to the SDEU operatives regarding the involvement of the suspects in illegal drugs activities.
Consequently, case build up, monitoring and surveillance operations were conducted until a buy bust operation was plotted in close coordination with PDEA.
Thereafter, the operatives proceeded to the place of transaction wherein one of the police officers acted as a poseur buyer to purchase illegal drugs from the suspects. Upon consumation of the sale, the operatives immediately effected the arrest of the suspects who were later identified to be the following persons to wit:
SUSPECT 1- NORODIN MAKALIMPAS A BAG @KUYA, male, 27 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Block 9, Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila and Block 11, Lot 9, St Alta Homes, Sunnyvale, Molino II Bacoor, Cavite:
SUSPECT 2- MANILYN ODIN y MAKALIMPAS @MANILYN, female, 28 years old, married, jobless, and a resident of Block 9 Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila and a resident Block 11, Lot 9, St Alta Homes Sunnyvale, Molino III, Bacoor, Cavite:
SUSPECT 3- NORAIMA BALAYANA y HARON, female, 27 years old, married, jobless, and a resident of Block 11, Lot 9, St Alta Homes, Sunnyvale, Molino III, Bacoor, Cavite, and
SUSPECT 4- BABY RAMOS y SAMUEL, female, 26 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Block 15, lot 57, Molino III, Bacoor, Cavite
Seized from the suspects were the following items:
Three (3) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet each containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu;
One (1) checkered color pink and brown sling bag;
One (1) piece genuine Php1,000.00 peso bill utilized as marked buy-bust money bearing serial number WQ199735 with marking SDET on top of a boodle money amounting to Php 6,800,000.00; and
Three (3) units of cellular phone.
The confiscated suspected shabu which weighs of more or less 150 grams has a standard DDB street value of around Php 1,020,000.00. It was turned over to Cavite PPO-CLO for forensic chemical laboratory examination.
The seized items were duly inventoried in the place of arrest before the presence of mandatory witnesses from the media, Mr. Jerome Amoroso of SAKSI/BOMBA and Barangay Kagawad Fransisco Dagandara of Brgy. 660-A Zone 68 District V, Manila.
The arrested suspects were turned over to Cavite PPO for temporary detention pending the filing of charges for violation of Section 5 (Selling, Distribution and Transportation of Dangerous Drug), Section 11 (Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drug) and Section 26 (b) in relation to Section 5 Article Il of RA 9165 otherwise known as Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. Cases for violation of PD 1829 (Obstruction of Justice) will also be filed against Noraima Balayana and Baby Ramos for attempting to cause the escape of one of the suspects.
“The fight against illegal drugs requires consistent continuing effort. We shall not cease in our campaign to strengthen our iitiatives and collaboration against all forms of criminality and illegal drugs. I am elated that my men exerts unwavering effort towards the attainment of this advocacy,” PMGEN SINAS said.
