PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended the joint elements of District Drug Enforcement Agency and District Special Operations Unit of Northern Police District for the successful anti- illegal drugs operation at about 11:50 PM of July 3, 2020 at No. 329-B, Manuel L. Quezon St., Brgy. Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.
The operation stemmed from the previous Buy-bust Operation of DDEU, NPD last June 30, 2020 at Blk. 15, Sawata, C3, Brgy. 28 Caloocan City wherein more or less 60 grams of Shabu were confiscated and one (1) drug personality was arrested.
Through intelligence driven follow-up operation and additional information provided by RIU, NCR, elements of DDEU and DSOU in coordination with Taguig City Police Station conducted a planned joint follow-up buy-bust operation against the suspects.
Suspects were identified as:
- Tarhata Abdullah y Abdulrahman, 41 y/o, married, jobless, presently residing at No. 329-B, Manuel L. Quezon St., Lower Bicutan, Taguig City (Violations of Sec. 5 and 11); and
- Joyce Rio Lusung y Mercado, 18 y/o, single, jobless, presently residing at Sampaguita Village, San Pedro City, Laguna (Violations of Sec. 26 and 11).
Probe reveals that the poseur buyer was able to transact with the suspect. Upon consummation of the drug deal, back up operatives immediately effected the arrest.
Pieces of evidences seized from their possession and control were:
a. Six (6) pcs. medium size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu;
b. Two (2) pcs. genuine P1,000.00 bill with Forty Eight (48) pcs. P1, 000.00 bill boodle money utilized as buy-bust money;
c. One (1) unit color black Samsung Smartphone;
d. One (1) pc. color black sling bag;
e. One (1) pc. color black digital weighing scale;
f. Forty (40) pcs. P100.00 bill recovered drug money
Estimated total weight of confiscated Shabu were more or less 300 grams with Standard Drug Price amounting to P2, 040,000.00.

Seized illegal drugs were turned-over to SPD Crime Laboratory Office for Chemical Analysis
Meanwhile, suspects were brought at DDEU, NPD office for documentation and will be subsequently turned-over to Taguig CPS Custodial Facility for detention pending filing of appropriate charges in court.
Violation of Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs); Sec. 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec. 26 (Conspiracy) under Article ll of R.A. 9165 are being prepared for filing in court.
